Diabetes really sucks

I sometimes think I should just give up. Trying to eat healthy as a truck driver is extremely difficult and expensive. This morning I had 2 flavorless sausage patties, scrambled eggs and a diet coke at McDonalds and it cost me $9.37 (USD) that is absolutely ridiculous! I sometimes wonder if I would live longer if I just gave up on trying to eat better (dietician has recommended a version of Keto) because I think the stress of worrying about my numbers, what I eat and how I will afford to eat is going to give me a heart attack or a stroke!

@Coralmist she passed from pneumococcal pneumonia in 2 days. the infection went to her brain. but the diabetes was uncontrollable. she had a pump and they monitored her 24/7. she had a very rare genetic disease.

@akindheart Aww, Im truly sorry. Was it recently? My sympathies♥️ My sisters sugars are always high, and its so hard seeing her kidneys now begin damage. She eats only protein too, but has severe undiagnosed leg pain, and pain can raise sugars.

@Coralmist she passed in 2007. i didn't even know she was in the hospital. i found out after she passed.

@akindheart anniversary of my father passing from lung cancer was at the beginning of the month on the 2nd. He never touched a cigarette in his life, breathing can kill ya. My mother's breasts killed her 16 years after his death.....
