Has anybody had Covid since it started?

I had covid two weeks ago and it sucked. I got tested Sunday morning and I had to take the whole week off or workout using all of my pay sick leave….okay not ALL of it.
I used up five paid sick leaves (PSL). That’s why I try avoiding getting sick because I don’t wanna use up all my PTO or PSL.
Someone came into work not feeling week. She should have stayed home. She said, “I’ don’t wanna use up ALL of my paid sick leave or PTO. I’ve always used up four PTOs and 5 sick leaves. That’s why I come to work but wear a mask. I told her it’s selfish because it’s isn’t fair to make the employees and kids sick. A couple of staff got sick and some students got sick as well. Even I got sick from her.
Truth is, we shouldn’t have to be afraid to miss work because we’re sick. We should be able to rest and heal and not get everyone else sick.

I had it in last June/July. It was nasty and I coughed for almost a month afterwards. Luckily, no sense of smell or taste changes.

@ElizabethBabe1994 I had 38°C for maybe 3-4 days, nasty throat infection, like strep throat, as if a huge lump formed in my throat and every time I drank anything it hurt like hell. Eating wasn't as much issue as drinking was.

@CrazyMusicLover I didn’t have taste change either
ElizabethBabe1994 · 26-30, F
@CrazyMusicLover that’s awful but at least your taste didn’t go away

Yes, three times total and it never adversely affected me other than not being around people, but living on a rural farm by myself it never was an issue for me isolation wise.

All my family members who I live with have been very lucky to not have it and I am not vaccinated.

I’ve had it twice but I still believe the first time was a false positive test. I was not sick and didn’t make anyone else sick but I was a health care worker at the time and testing was mandatory. The second time was early this year. I kept testing negative for nearly a week while I knew I had it, it was awful. It was going round my workplace like wild fire. Finally I tested positive at work and got sent home. Two days later I was negative again. Was the law at that time to stay at home with covid.

I got tested positive this morning and now I have to miss work

Once in April. Caught it from my wife who works in a hospital. I barely felt the effects, very mild compared with seasonal flu. But people who come to work when infected with either are very selfish. The virus can have nastier effects for others or mess up peoples' lives and schedules.

@SunshineGirl damn that’s awful
