Is the covid pandemic over? Is it publicized as over and done, legally?

I don't want fights and debates about covid.
I just want some real answers and information on whether the pandemic is now over or not.

alright. no politics. the pandemic is now endemic, like influenza.

adjective
1. (of a disease or condition) regularly found among particular people or in a certain area.
"complacency is endemic in industry today"
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@SW-User Just like in March of 20.

Yes, in the sense that Trump supporters stopped us from defeating it.

So now it's ENdemic, like flu, in the US.

But NO, the virus is still active. It's still changing.

We are a cautionary tale, not a leader.

@MrBrownstone I don't want to block you and others, but I will if this keeps on.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@MrBrownstone You say it turned out to be true without even knowing what it meant.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@OggggO Still true

People still get infected, it's just many dont take it seriously no more, so they infect others.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@Dan193 Exactly.
InHeaven · F
People still get brainwashed@Dan193 unbelievable
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
According to democrats,no. The real world,yes.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@SW-User Why? What’s changed since a year ago?
SW-User
@MrBrownstone I have no clue. I was surprised to hear today that the pandemic is supposedly over.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@SW-User Exactly.

Covid is a virus, it will never be "over", it will come back until we have herd immunity and then it will still be here, our bodies will have developed the way to beat it. About 6 of my coworkers present at a meeting where someone was positive for covid came down with it, as it mutates, it seems to be less of a problem.

I think the pandemic "rules and shutdowns" were a political stunt and they are pretty much over.
@Roadsterrider
as it mutates, it seems to be less of a problem.

This was talked about as a typical way in which viruses evolve; interesting.
Roadsterrider · 56-60, M
@SomeMichGuy I don't know if it is vaccines, natural actions of the body to fight it or what but people I know who has gotten it more recently, it seems to be a shorter duration and less physical problems. I am just happy things are moving again.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
It's not over at all. Its just it's not being reported on in the same way..if at all.
Personally i know of 3 people from my neighbourhood who have been hospitalised with it this week.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
It stopped being a pandemic some time ago when it became endemic. We have all had it or been exposed to it.
Riverman2 · 56-60, M
The hospital here in South Carolina is still getting some covid cases.
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
I mean I don’t see how we’re still dealing with Covid at nursing homes and rehabs
SW-User
I don't even know anymore😅 Haven't heard news about it for a while tho
Elessar · 26-30, M
Until the next delta-like strain, I fear. Or worse, a recombinant with some other nasty coronavirus like MERS.

There's a small chance, but even one millionth chance can become realistic if you roll the dice several billion times every year.
PatKirby · M
It is for me as far as I'm concerned after just coming out with infection on the 10th and finally negative on Friday. I believe you can still catch it again though.
carpediem · 61-69, M
15 days to slow the spread. It was over for me on day 16. I didn’t stay home, I didn’t horde food, and I kept living. No covid.
Shutterbug · 56-60, M
As pandemic, yes its coming to an end, but covid remains and is still endemic in many regions. Its the meaning of the words :)
smiler2012 · 56-60
{@breezeybree2] well good as but no complacency it has far from gone .
SW-User
@smiler2012 I realize covid is still supposed to be around, but is it still considered a pandemic?
smiler2012 · 56-60
@SW-User no maybe not
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
I get notifications that , its not over.
InHeaven · F
I wanted to laugh but it’s not funny. It’s sad how people live by what biden or their TV tells them. Use YOUR brain, heart, soul, observation, critical thinking etc etc to discern, think for yourself. Why are you waiting to be told
SW-User
@InHeaven That was a great reply... not really.
I wanted some input but all many here seem to know how to do is argue, fight, debate and go way off track.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
COVID isn't over, but it's endemic now, so no longer a pandemic. More and more people are vaccinated now and Omicron is much milder than previous strains.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
china is struggling lol
SW-User
Why is it so hard to just get an answer without politics and debates thrown in? Has the pandemic been declared as over?
smiler2012 · 56-60
@SW-User it is the politician with advice from the medical side who will finally deem the pandemic over
SW-User
Since debating keeps happening after I asked for it to stop....closing the post as soon as allowed.... and thinking about deleting comments that keep debating.
Lilnonames · F
In my Opinion it will never b over. It will always b in the shadows. Waiting
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Lilnonames Waiting.. 🤣
PatKirby · M
@Lilnonames
I agree 100%. Seems like a lurker.

@kodiac I like you and have nothing against you, but to be fair, you did not answer yes, but something more along the lines it served it's purpose.
kodiac · 22-25, M
@SW-User Which means yes it's over .Sorry if i started it✌️
SW-User
@kodiac I was hoping to have some answers to what people might have heard or read about the pandemic being declared over now.
