My doctor asked me if I was willing to take the Covid vaccine

I said yes, I was. I told him to phone me when he has it and I can come in and take it. I am 76 years old.

Please give me any reasons you can come up with for why I shouldn't take it.

Take it. I got my first shot last night. My arm is a little sore, but that's all.
There aren’t any. My grand parents have taken it. All’s well.

If it gets things back to normal, and you don’t have any allergies that might cause trouble, please take it.

@Ynotisay *cough* denialism *cough* hypocrisy *cough*

@FCNantes sorry, but yeah, your post was rude, inappropriate, and there is absolutely no justification for that behavior. Bye now

I can think of no reason that outweighs the risks associated with getting covid especially in your age group.
FCNantes · 22-25, M
@SW-User I was thinking the same thing.

@SW-User That is my own current opinion.

@greenmountaingal I'm happy to wait if there's significant issues with the vaccine, but so far not one person who says it's dangerous has posted any evidence other than just some tweet or FB post from a random person who could easily be making it up, saying that they felt a bit sick afterwards or had a reaction, which is still better than dying or getting long-covid.

It is up to u. I wouldn't trust something that wasn't well tested before it was brought out to the public. But that is just me

There's no valid reason I can give you. You should absolutely take it as soon as it becomes available to you.
Can you come up with any reasons why you shouldn't get Covid19??? 🤔

That is so weird. Your doctor has it? In NJ there are daily mad dashes to find a site with vaccine! Get it! Don't wait until you are added to the 400K Americans who never had that choice!
My grandma’s dr advised against it for her because a lot of elderly people are experiencing a feeling of asphyxiation and he wants to study different brands and find out more info before she would take it.

@quitwhendone sorry it is VAERS and vsafe. VAERS is the FDA system Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, a program which has been for reporting side effects for many years. It requires someone to file a report, so it 8s an "active" surveillance system, and, a bit cumbersome to use. Vsafe is a new system implemented by CDC to monitor the covid19 vaccines. Once registered in vSafe, you received regular texts asking if you are okay, and, if you have any specific side effects. Therefore is is more passive, it reaches out to you.
@samueltyler2 Cool. Thanks.
@samueltyler2 well all I know is he told her to wait due to her medical history, because of her health. I’m not saying it is unsafe for the majority of people but he is a honest man and I trust his judgement

If you don't feel right about getting it, or if you don't trust it.

Otherwise, go ahead and I wish you the best and respect your decision.

Sounds like he's either taking a survey or trying to sell something he doesn't have

Too far to walk?
FCNantes · 22-25, M
Sorry, I can't. :)
Do you want someone to scare you out of protection from Covid ? Because some people here will try, but will have nothing to say if you’re among those vulnerable to complications from actually contracting Covid.
I’m still under 65, so I have to wait. But with breathing issues and diabetes, Covid would probably wipe me out, so when the vaccine is available I’m taking it.

There are no reasons at all whatsoever and plenty of reasons why you should. Go for it.
