For a long time, I also didn’t appreciate cinnamon raisin bagels, though I have come around.

In the end tho, a proper plain bagel, perfectly toasted with cream cheese and smoked salmon is the best way to go.

I confess that in my rather narrow experience of the world, I've never encountered a cinnamon nut bagel. Tell me please, does the condemnation extend to the much more common Cinnamon Raisin bagel? Or are they acceptable in the Bagel Canon?

Cinnamon nut bagels? Of course they suck! Let's break it down.

The bagels are nothing but unhealthy carbs.

The nut is something that's supposed to be sucked, so of course it sucks.

And cinnamon, while healthy in small doses, actually has a toxic called coumarin which can lifelong liver damage if you eat too much. This is especially true with cassia (common and cheaper) cinnamon, while Ceylon cinnamon has less of this toxic.


So yes this does suck!
