Anything involving emotions is an art. A method of expression on the emotional level.

So yes flirting is an art form.

Artists across multiple areas will often ask: "How does that make you feel?"

Same applies to flirting. How does it make you feel? Embarrassed, funny, excited perhaps? Those are all feelings.

Eloquence has always seemed like art to me.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
It used to be. Well done, it was a sincere validation of the flirtee with no harm intended..😷
scorpiolovedeep · 51-55, M
Being authentic is sexier than being flirtateous.

Yes
But only very few are good at it
Ferric67 · M
Absolutely, if you want to be good at it

faery · F
There's a reason for the term 'pickup artist'

Definitely. Just like seduction
I despise irl flirting. I'm not receptive unless I'm explicitly told I'm courted and also uninterested until being clear. Don't enjoy it. Never enjoyed it. I don't mind accidental glances and the natural reactions, but intentional "Hey babes, what time it is" type of cringe worthy behavior makes my skin crawl
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@greensnacks Out of curiosity, are you also on the spectrum?
lissah · 36-40, F
It is for some people. But not for me i cant even figure out how to flirt.
WolfGirlwh0r3 · 36-40, T
If finger painting can be art why can't flirting?
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F

"Boom Chicka Wow Wow afternoon Delight at Lunch"

If so, I´m not the Lawrence Olivier of the Art!

It's more difficult to learn than squirting.
FloorGenAdm · 51-55, M
The fog of war.
It can be, but in some cases it gets overdone and becomes...idk almost gross. I usually end up thinking "how many others have you tried this on or said this to?" If they're laying it on too thick and it's not just flowing instead of some practiced junk.
BillyMack · 46-50, M
Not if you have to work at it.
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
It's a learned skill that I've never learned to do or read from others
SUPERVlXEN · F
I think too many think of it as too much of an art instead of acting authentically as themselves. It’s not gonna fly with me!
Idk man I just bend over
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
Must be. I can’t even finger paint. 😏
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
Flirting is attention without intention.

The moment a motive is introduced it becomes something else entirely.
Alyosha · 36-40, M
I think it's a useless art.
Magenta · F
Not so much, just like nudity isn't art. It makes it seem as something forced or scripted versus naturally instinctual. I think we label things to make them more or less than they are.

It's all just natural and there is defo beauty in that.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
Is controlling your hormones an art?

The goal is to not be a mindless, intrusive offensive, penis. I wouldn’t call that an art.

The art is just giving nature’s intent the occasional subtle assist.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Adogslife Intrusive Penis sounds like a band name
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
A lost one, apparently.
