Even if she isn't, heroism only works in the movies. It's not respected or appreciated in these days

@SamInAZ Usually a guy at a bar would come and see if a lady was being bothered if he thought she was.

If they were flirting or playing I'd just let it go and walk ahead. She says she doesn't bother. It sounds consensual, no ? What do you think ?
When I have trouble in the streets, I'm the first to call on passengers and ask for their attention or assistance, if I feel there's a need.

I have. I just do the "everything ok here?" With a little menace in my voice. They always say "we're good"
I'll respond something like "I'm glad to hear that" but keep a little menace in.
I have no idea any effect down the road but it can diffuse something in public

I would apologize to both of them

If shes not bothered then shes not. Theres nothing to do, she has good self control. Good for her. If i thought she looked bothered and i asked her about it and she was fine then i would just go on my way.
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
You mean if I acted on it?
If she said she wasn't bothered I'd apologize and say I misread the situation.
Even if she was afraid, she wouldn't dare to say that I'm front of the guy she's scared of.

@TheEmperor I agree with you that life works out better when we take responsibility for ourselves, and when we keep our power instead of giving it away.
But sometimes our power is taken away from previous life events and even though we might be developing and working on ourselves, there could be transitioning periods where we don't have the tools or the knowledge of how to properly navigate through situations. Especially when we're conditioned(brainwashed) from early on.
At the same time though, because like I said, life's a complex set of things, we need to be conscious, careful and compassionate too. Using words like "she deserved it" implies guilt and punishment.
We can be more careful choosing our words and the meanings we convey.. we want to create a world where it is safe for everyone to live and explore..

If she said she's ok it already means you have already interjected. I wouldn't even be there if I didn't sense definite trouble

I am a protective person. Would give the eye to the guy. Put myself between them. And if they kept it up I’d say to find someone else

Feminism or Chivalry....choose one.

Not my business. Of course I'm not going to just stand there if the male gets physical with a female, but anything aside from that...not my business.

@TheEmperor I would get involved if I saw anyone getting physically violent with a disabled person. But if all it was...was a verbal altercation..like I said, not my business.

As along as he doesn't put hand on her or screams for help, I mind my own business
