On the first date what were some immediate red flags that made you not go on a second date?

She got into a fist fight with another woman.

One very controlling guy insisted that we share a dessert, when I wanted my own. And then he insisted on ordering something that HE liked. His whole vibe was angry.

Another guy met me for the first time on a public street, and jumped on me like a dog. He was quite short. Unfortunately he kept that up for the whole walk.

Another guy invited me, immediately, to go up to Maine with him for a two week vacation, and told me there would be no cell phone service, and no electricity, and I wouldn't be able to dry my hair. He said we would be out on the lake and there would be no one around for 20 miles.

Another guy, after meeting me once, told me that he had not felt "this way" about any woman since he met his deceased wife in high school.

I'll spare you the rest of them.

We were to meet at a train station and he was very late. Well over an hour. When he finally arrived I was about to go and he offered absolutely zero apology or explanation. He was in the " that is how things are " zone. He just said nothing at all, not even acknowledging the fact that he was super late.
Unfortunately for me I chose to ignore his weird behaviour.

Edit : this might sound very little agree. But this started a long story that when the guy did not like something he just declared and said : this did not happen/that happened instead. Total remodelling of reality.

he talked about how women took advantage of him and all that he did for them. another one told me details of his divorce. He took the furniture even though he hated it. he had control issues

After going out for pizza and her trying to slip the silverware into her purse we went back to my parents house where instead of spending time with me she played with my youngest sisters dolls. I spent the next week looking for alternate routes to my classes to avoid running into her at school.

A different girl I was planning to take to the county Fair. She was from a different part of the state but was staying here with her step grandfather for reasons I was never quiet sure of. The day before the date she tells me that she thinks her grandfather will be out of town but I should start looking for her about a quarter mile down the road just in case. Meanwhile I learned from another guy that she had told an elderly neighbor that we were sleeping together, I was amazed that I was unaware of that fact. Years later I met her mother, I'm surprised the girl was as sane as she was. Me and her mother both got summoned for Jury duty a few years before she died. She had papers of some sort she just couldn't wait to show the judge. I can only guess what was on those papers but there wasn't a chance in hell she was getting picked for the jury.

I asked him if we could take it slow and after when I took him home he wouldn't stop touching my boobs in my car. I was visibly uncomfortable and tried asking him to stop but for some reason he thought I was joking and wouldn't. I was scared to flat out yell at him to stop so I decided to take it and as soon as I mustered up the courage I said I had to go and left as fast as I could.

He didnt find me attractive so there wasnt a second date but this... he looked me up and down obviously as soon as i met him (it was a blind date)

He didn't take me up on my offer of coming back to my place for a shower and a night in bed together...

He was rude to everyone.

Conversation didn't flow
No sexual tension

She didn't buy the pizza.

I met a divorcee during the pandemic. She said she was going to document and use against her husband the fact that he had taken their two young children to Costco during the pandemic. I thought what a vindictive person. I ended that date.

The fact that she was gorgeous but we had absolutely nothing in common which made conversation on the date rather stilted 🤔

When i went to her place and the vibe was just not working and she said... let fuck and see if we like each other after. nnnaaaahhhhhh i can go without for that day. I just kinda was like ya know this is a done deal chit chatted a bit more and left within 15 minutes.

They CLEARLY have more drama already in their life, than you want in yours...


Or if like the tiniest little things are driving them nuts... like this little thing or that little thing wasn't done the way they prefer, that's only going to get worse after the 1st date.

When they say they need to make a quick stop to hawk shop before you go to the restaurant.

I dated a woman who in retrospect I shouldn’t have gone beyond second date with. She showed up for our second date with her hair undone and minimal makeup wearing grey track pants and grey hoodie. I was wearing nice jeans and a white shirt and a dress leather jacket with exotic animal leather shoes. I was disappointed that she didn’t make herself up more.

They talk about themselves more than any other subject.

Mentioning having restraining orders against multiple exs

When he showed me a pic of his ex wife’s boob job.

She drew blood with a syringe and put it in her coffee... We never dated again... but we did fuck many times after.
