We know what side of the road you are supposed to drive on.
@Adrift USA is all set for left handers.
The protections afforded to its citizens by the Constitution and by the military and the police...so that we may ENJOY our freedoms!

•The US Customary system of measures, aka, the Imperial system
•Lots and lots of wide open spaces and every kind of terrain or ecology imaginable providing countless different recreational activities and entertainment.
•Good paying jobs and land of opportunity
•Great infrastructure, including abundant drinking water and plenty of food.
I feel like im bragging but I'm really just counting my blessings

@beermeplease i guess Teeners/Tinas, 8-balls and Zips don't count? The metric system in the drug trade is for nickel shooters and bargain hunters.
The one who buys a kilo of whatever, will likely step on it and sell it as 40 ounces. The one who sells in grams, buys in ozs, or fractions there of. Nobody who buys kilos, sells grams.
Don't get me wrong. I get the integral simplicity of the metric system. The imperial system is simple to understand also, and it's more accurate.
The problem I have with the metric system is the same problem I have with the decimal system. It's only simple because we all memorized the base 10 number system.
What sucks about 10 is the very few factors within it. ..and only one is very useful. ½. We rarely ever use ⅕ or 0.1. There's a very important fraction that represents a staple in engineering, that can't be found anywhere within the metric/decimal system, but there are 3 of them in every foot and every yard and every day and every year and at least 5 of the months..
Shit. Im doing it again, aren't i? ..sorry. i have a bad habit of overstating my case about why 12 is better than 10.
...^^I was talking about ⅓, btw? 😋

I think it must be cool to be able to reach so many places and different climate zones by car.
Everything is just a road trip away.
I live on an island and everywhere entails a plane trip.

Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
@Nitedoc Weed is still illegal in many places.
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
@Crazywaterspring Freedom does not mean lawlessness. Yoy have the freedom to move to a weed legal state if you want to.
Jayciedubb · 56-60, M
@Crazywaterspring either way, it's some kick-ass weed. ..thats something else to add to the list. We grow some good weed. ..and frankly, some of it should be illegal, it's so potent..
I kinda liked it better when it was illegal. Life was easier without all the choices and devices and forms ...dab, vape, decarboxylation, infusion, blah, blah, blah.. 😆

samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Yulianna only into China? The US has already ceded important ground to China in various technology and education. I am more worried, personally, that the US is barreling towards a civil war maybe not a shooting one, but even more philosophical and monetary.

The complete and utter immunity to invasion is pretty cool.

@JamesBugman
The WHO reported over 175,000 annual heat-related deaths in Europe based on data between 2000 and 2019, according to UN News. In 2022 alone, an estimated 61,672 heat-related deaths occurred in Europe.
In 2023, 46,728 people died from gun-related injuries in the United States, according to the CDC
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
@JamesBugman
Based on these figures, the number of heat-related deaths in Europe appears to be significantly higher than the number of gun deaths in the United States. While some sources suggest the disparity could be as high as three times, others offer different figures.
