@BlueGreenGrey Andrew had a FB account years ago before I came on this site. I found Nuno then on LinkedIn back then as well. Found it through iOrbix when it was still a thing.

@BlueGreenGrey links to either was only on iOrbix.
Yet if you know Andrews last, as I do, it's easy to find him with a site search on Facebook.
I have a link yet it requires a FB account which I don't have.

According to Rhodes Scholar Kris Kristofferson,
Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose
Nothin' ain't worth nothin' but it's free
Feelin' good was easy, Lord, when Bobby sang the blues
Feelin' good was good enough for me
Good enough for me and my Bobby McGee.
On the other hand, Nobel Laureate Bob Dylan says
Ah, my friends from the prison, they ask unto me
"How good, how good does it feel to be free?"
And I answer them most mysteriously
"Are birds free from the chains of the skyway?"

In America's case, a two party system probably works better than a multi party system.
The reason for that is because, the more parties you have, the higher the chances that you're going to have to form a coalition at some point. That's the point where two armed people with opposing views can be dangerous... though, at the same time, I do wonder if it might be a better idea to introduce coalitions to America since Trump and Biden seem to each be unpopular for their own reasons. Maybe forcing a President and Vice-President with different agendas to agree on policies before they are signed into law could be a good thing for calming Trump down???
Then again, it could also mean that you end up with even more shutdowns and next to nothing of benefit to the people being achieved.

EVERY state must accept each political party in order to make it to the Presidential race. Not ALL the states accept every single party.
This website shows ALL the political parties in the United States, and, as you will note, there are SOME parties that are only accepted in ONE state.

In order to win a Presidential election, the candidates must appear on ballots in ALL states.

The U.S. follows a presidential system of democracy. While many other countries(around 70 - 80) including India, Germany, Italy, Israel, Australia, Japan and many others follows parliamentary system of democracy where citizens elect Members of Parliament (MPs), and the majority party in Parliament selects the Prime Minister, who serves as the head of government. The Prime Minister can be removed by Parliament if they lose confidence, preventing political deadlock.

It doesn’t only have two choices and they are chosen by the citizens.

I would do just the way they are doing it now have been doing it for over a century.
Hold fake elections
Have the public believe that Democrats & Republicans are apart from each other. Plus lead people to believe that anyone can be president.
Only ones that can be president must belong to secret organizations like the Free Mansons, & The Builderburgs
Make sure only government owns the prime land and make people believe private ownership was possible, but really is not. Government can just take property at will and without reason.
No secret ballot (just like today) have to know how citizens think
Give everyone free cellphones so government can spy on citizens more easily
Pretty much treat my citizens stupid simps and sheep and they will always obey me.
Just like they do the USA government and the other governments around the world.
There is so much more. But your a sheep and believe everything your government and media tells you to believe

The USA isn’t so free. That’s the first thing people get wrong.

Omg is America free? I didn't get the memo i need to check my email account.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Last ballot I got there were half a dozen choices for President I could vote for.
Bumbles · 51-55, M
The US is currently seeing its western liberal institutions implode, so the question is largely moot. It was relatively free, which is the proper measure.
Miram · 31-35, F
What is going on with you lately? Trying to start problems with the Americans. That's been my job here, not yours.
hunkalove · 61-69, M
It isn't free. It never has been. It exists for the wealthy and powerful and always has.
Ynotisay · M
Well that's not really a thoughtful question, is it?
familyfunguy · 56-60, M
Although the question doesn't ask for a solution, this place needs to stop having presidents, governors, senators, etc.
TheOneyouwerewarnedabout · 46-50, MVIP
Why have 300 congressmen when all they do is vote the party line..
You only need one Republican one democrat and a speaker for a deciding vote

How should freedom be defined.

Better question.
If the US is so free why can't anyone afford to have teeth.

It has only two parties from which to select Presidential candidates?
DestroyerOfIdeologies · 26-30, M
For now they are chosen by algorithm. Soon they will be chosen by AI.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@DestroyerOfIdeologies the "I" can stand for a few nouns other than "Intelligence", and not meaning that either!
