No one that I'm aware of is saying it was "made in America". They are pointing a finger at America because America was funding the research at the lab in Wuhan. China hinted at this back when it was being suggested that it was China's fault but failed to say how it was Americas fault.
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE, Way back when Obama was president he ended funding for the lab in Wuhan but somehow someone figured out a way around this and government funds continued to go to Wuhan. Fauchi knew this and lied about it.
BUT WAIT THERE'S EVEN MORE. There was a group of scientist who published a letter claiming there was no reason to believe the virus could have came from a lab in Wuhan. It was later learned at least one British scientist (Peter Daszak) involved with that letter not only had ties to the lab in Wuhan but had petitioned Parliament for funds for research involving viruses and bats in China.
To sum it up, we have scientists who insisted that there's no way it could have came from a lab and they tried to claim there was no 'enhanced" virus research going on. Now we know there was "enhanced" research going on, the US (and possibly UK) government was, or at least had been funding it, The very scientist who kept telling us it couldn't possibly be true and there was no reason to believe there was any "enhanced" research going on had ties to the lab and knew full well what was going on there and lied to us about it.

Do you have a link to who is saying that?
Also, do you have a link to the genetic analysis that would measure this alleged "99.9 % man made" characteristic?
This "99.9% man made" claim is particularly problematic, because there are several naturally occurring Corona viruses that are already 80% to 97% similar to the original Covid wildtype. This "99.9% man made" claim suggests that the "maker" didn't start with a naturally occuring virus, they built it from scratch. That just doesn't make sense.
The analysis shows that the viruses used in the EcoHealth Alliance experiments share only around 80% of their genomes with SARS-CoV-2 — a huge difference when making these comparisons.
Much more similar viruses that share 96% to 97% of their genomes with SARS-CoV-2 have been identified. These include BANAL-52, a bat coronavirus found in Laos and reported in September, and RaTG13, a virus sequence collected by the Wuhan Institute of Virology that has also been the subject of much misplaced speculation.
But even these, the analysis explains, are still much too dissimilar to have given rise to SARS-CoV-2.

@ElwoodBlues everything that happens to us on a big scale is a conspiracy. why do we have massive forest fires every year now? why aren't they prepared every year? this was an oddity when i was growing up and it got just as dry....
ElwoodBlues · M
@DIABLISS Actually, population growth is probably the largest factor causing increased forest fires, followed by climate change. In 1970, the population of California was just under 20 million. Now it's just under 40 million - a doubling in 50 years.
That means more people living nearer forested areas, and more people hiking, camping, and being careless. Also, forest fires are more serious when they threaten dwellings, so more fires have to be fought these days.
Not a conspiracy, just a consequence of increased (approximately doubled) population pressure.
I decided to look these up too: world population in 1970: 3.7 billion. World population in 2021: 7.837 billion - it more than doubled. And most of the new 4.1 billion residents of Earth (a) live in the 3rd world and (b) have a much higher standard of living than their grandparents. So the pressure on nature to provide resources has grown even more.
Population pressure explains a LOT of changes that have happened during the last 50 years.

Nobody sane of mind is saying that.
If anything it's appalling that more than two years in this sh*t people keep falling over and over for the same cr#p, continuously proven false at any and every reiteration.

this is finger pointing at its finest. I heard that it was from China but that we had American hands in the labs. like Fauci investments.
AbbySvenz · F
Americans were present in the labs in China. Assisting with virus research. As one does at an Institute for Virology. @akindheart
@AbbySvenz i just perused two articles about this and holy crap! I just wish they would tell the truth. they are intentionally throwing out too much info now so that we just throw our hands in the air like we just don't care.
the NIH is saying that they were involved in granting a research on a virus that was making mice sicker(?). sicker than what? and that nothing that they were investigating could have transformed into the sars covid 2. But how the hell would they know that?

Some "secret ex CIA expert" on Facebook.
@Crazywaterspring some German scientists
Do you know who claims Covid is man made?
SW-User
Who is "they"?
Newsmax? Breitbart? Gateway Pundit? OANN? Or another such completely reliable source that you've "read for three years"?

@SW-User MSN news yesterday morning at 5:30 am...do you want to know what i was wearing?
SW-User
@DIABLISS what you were wearing is irrelevant and you know that, your attempt at sarcasm has crashed, burned, and set the adjacent grasslands aflame
@SW-User no...you all and your attempts to derail a normal conversation about world events and a news article have exhausted me to the point where i don't care anymore. none of you cite your source. but you ramble on and on with innuendo about this politician and that country and this famous person and i am not lame enough or weird enough to ask you to cite your source and who gives a crap anyway. it was to have a discussion....about the finger pointing and the fact that Germany is doing it too now. THAT was what i found interesting. and all news is slanted or fake so checking the source doesn't really matter anymore now does it?
We should of revolted our government a decade ago.
@Elessar Covid is nature trying to balance because there’s too many parasitic humans on earth. That’s my conspiracy theory I guess…
We could of talked it out but people always assume a ton of shit on here and then start laying in on each other without any understanding. It’s boring.

@samueltyler2 well i think that this is obvious. we won't be prepared for the next one. and then we will all die. just like if some people decide to come over here and get flying lessons again and take off with our planes. it could easily happen again
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@DIABLISS but, both are preventable, if people only worked together.
LeopoldBloom · M
@DIABLISS No, it wasn't. The virus originated in China, as many do, when a virus jumped from another species to humans. The flu and AIDS are other examples of this.
The so-called Spanish Flu, however, seems to have originated in Kansas when a porcine virus mutated and was able to infect humans. It was called the Spanish Flu because Spain was neutral in WWI and the Spanish media was the only one that reported on the flu without censorship. So everyone assumed that the disease originated in Spain as that's where the initial reporting originated.

@DIABLISS antivaxxers and right wingers always have the lamest excuses for being LAZY and not providing sources ... for most everyone else, it just comes naturally and takes like 3 seconds to paste the link to the page you were reading ... you make NO SENSE
You're already on the page, no one else is

So wait a minute, are you MISREADING A FACT CHECKING ARTICLE or what?!?!

@SW-User it is lazy to ask a normal person to cite their source when they are trying to have a conversation with you...do you do this is normal conversation..."cite your source"...then a normal person you were talking to replies, "but i just heard someone saying the chicken isn't' good today"..."i didn't know them"
@SW-User no one normal cites their source . it is stupid. sane people come here to have a conversation on line but you and several others come here to attack people . to ridicule people. to end the conversation.
It was manufactured in China at Wuhan..
If Republicans take both houses an investigation will reveal that fact..
This is simply misdirection.. preemptive attempts to deflect the truth.

@DIABLISS One of the scary things is that some of the information that has came out points to some of the scientist involved trying to raise funds for experiments with other viruses that are worse than covid (more specifically I'm remembering Peter D/ UK gov.). What isn't clear is whether or not they managed to raise funds from other sources and/or whether or not the experiments actually happened. This could have been way worse than it is.
@Onestarlitnight that i have actually read myself
spjennifer · 61-69, T
At the time Covid was discovered, tRump was in power in America so who's fault is it really?
@spjennifer trump didn't cause the coronavirus but he is partially responsible for it spreading due to all the lies we were told.
spjennifer · 61-69, T
@DIABLISS Seeing as he was our CIC at the time, any blame on America for creating it rests squarely on his shoulders, as does the blame for allowing it to spread due to his lies.
bijouxbroussard · F
This is why conspiracy theories are mostly a waste of time and energy. There’s a million of them and they’re usually based on whom the theorist hates most.

@LeopoldBloom okay, that was funny.

@samueltyler2 the news

Be careful who 'They" is
@DIABLISS this is your post indicating you thought it was engineered.
This is what you said, so where is your evidence it was engineered ?
Now they are saying that the Covid 19 was discovered to be 99.9 % man made and some are pointing the finger at America?
I always thought it was engineered but i would never have thought it was made in America. Why would it have blown up in China first? originally i read it on my MSN news but this looks to be the same article:...

@Ryderbike OMFG! i am so tired of you a-holes wasting my time with your mindless crap and your inability to read what i wrote. i could not find the original article but said that the one i posted was close. not exact and i said that i thought the article needed discussion...NOT THAT I AGREED WITH ITS FINDINGS AT ALL. so MAYBE YOU SHOULD STOP INSISTING THAT PEOPLE POST AN ARTICLE THAT DOESN'T NEED TO BE POSTED AT ALL. if you read the news ever....which obviously don't...you would not have even questioned it. everyone in the world has already read an article about this situation. Everyone! i only opened this can of worms to see what people thought.
