Now they are saying that the Covid 19 was discovered to be 99.9 % man made and some are pointing the finger at America?

I always thought it was engineered but i would never have thought it was made in America. Why would it have blown up in China first?
originally i read it on my MSN news but this looks to be the same article:

Do you have a link to who is saying that?

Also, do you have a link to the genetic analysis that would measure this alleged "99.9 % man made" characteristic?

This "99.9% man made" claim is particularly problematic, because there are several naturally occurring Corona viruses that are already 80% to 97% similar to the original Covid wildtype. This "99.9% man made" claim suggests that the "maker" didn't start with a naturally occuring virus, they built it from scratch. That just doesn't make sense.

The analysis shows that the viruses used in the EcoHealth Alliance experiments share only around 80% of their genomes with SARS-CoV-2 — a huge difference when making these comparisons.

Much more similar viruses that share 96% to 97% of their genomes with SARS-CoV-2 have been identified. These include BANAL-52, a bat coronavirus found in Laos and reported in September, and RaTG13, a virus sequence collected by the Wuhan Institute of Virology that has also been the subject of much misplaced speculation.

But even these, the analysis explains, are still much too dissimilar to have given rise to SARS-CoV-2.

@ElwoodBlues no i don't have a link. it was in the MSN news and it was some German scientists. i mentioned it because it sounded squirrelly. how can a disease be found to be 99.9% anything? and where the hell did these German guys come from? this was the first time i heard mention some German scientists doing research on the origins of covid anyway?
@ElwoodBlues I don't have the article that i read on MSN but i have this: https://pleasemynews.com/technology/fact-check-has-a-german-scientist-proved-that-covid-was-made-in-a-lab/
@DIABLISS Yep, the professional epidemiologists cited in your link also think it's absurd to assemble a whole genome from scratch.

[sep][sep][sep]
“There seem to be flaws in the logic of this article as to why one would assemble an entire genome piece by piece to make a virus,” said Hassan Vally, associate professor of epidemiology at Deakin University.

“That makes no sense to me. If you did what the authors claim happened, you insert small amounts of engineered genetic material into a largely intact viral genome and there would be no need to reconstruct a genome. into small segments. does not make sense and points to a fundamental flaw in this article and the logic behind the interpretation.”

According to Vally, the logic of this article is not sound and the recurring patterns in the genome may not represent what the researchers say they represent.

Other scientists in the field responded to the online preprint, denying Bruttel and his colleagues’ claims.

@DIABLISS who do you think developed the Covid vaccine?
@Ryderbike i think it was developed long before we got it. it took too long. i think the drug companies were waging a money war against each other and the mess that followed prolonged the situation. every thing in our lives is destroyed by money hungry bureaucrats
@DIABLISS So we're talking giant conspiracy here?
@ElwoodBlues everything that happens to us on a big scale is a conspiracy. why do we have massive forest fires every year now? why aren't they prepared every year? this was an oddity when i was growing up and it got just as dry....
@DIABLISS climate change
@DIABLISS Actually, population growth is probably the largest factor causing increased forest fires, followed by climate change. In 1970, the population of California was just under 20 million. Now it's just under 40 million - a doubling in 50 years.

That means more people living nearer forested areas, and more people hiking, camping, and being careless. Also, forest fires are more serious when they threaten dwellings, so more fires have to be fought these days.

Not a conspiracy, just a consequence of increased (approximately doubled) population pressure.

I decided to look these up too: world population in 1970: 3.7 billion. World population in 2021: 7.837 billion - it more than doubled. And most of the new 4.1 billion residents of Earth (a) live in the 3rd world and (b) have a much higher standard of living than their grandparents. So the pressure on nature to provide resources has grown even more.

Population pressure explains a LOT of changes that have happened during the last 50 years.
