For those who have visited Spain, what’s your fave city? And why?

Top | New | Old
Barcelona, it's a wonderful city.
I would choose Barcelona over Madrid.
But for me to visit again, I’d choose Palma de Mallorca.

@CookieCrumbs I agree with Barcelon, although people who were there recently said it is way too touristy now, but that is what we are! Never been to Palma de Mallorca, i think it is on our next cruise though.
@samueltyler2
I agree! Very touristy and crowded. I went to Madrid to see the Prado Museum and travel to Toledo. And the one reason for Barcelona was the Sagrada and Parc Guell. There is really no reason to go back.

I would, however, be willing to go back to Mallorca. I’ve been to the Canary Island 3x. I would highly recommend for you and your family.

Never been but I almost became a Spaniard, I wanna visit Valencia, Malaga n Barca n all the other beachy places.
If Palma counts as Spain then I like it best.
Just like the cobbled streets and shops as well as the buildings and cafes.

Seville is gorgeous. Barcelona so vibrant.

Valencia. On the coast so beaches but the old quarter is lovely. Great shops and restaurants too.

Granada and the Sierra Nevada mountains. It's a very beautiful area and then there's the historical Alhambra palace which is a really interesting place with its water cooling systems and Arabic mosaics.

Badajoz. All the sights, none of the crowds.

Never been in Spain because very hot

Anywhere in the mountains, because it is dry. Because...

The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain.

🤪

Yet Google disagrees.

The rain in Spain does not fall mainly on the plain. Most rain in Spain actually falls in the rocky, mountainous northern and northwestern regions near the coast. The central plains are dry and get very little rain.
