I wouldn’t mind visiting some areas like the Yucatán region and to see the pyramids etc. To many cartel problems and fake police in Mexico. The fake police love to shake down tourists. Would ruin the travel experience even if there weren’t cartels there.

The Mexican government hates Americans. They don't want Americans to move there and corrupt their culture, they don't want Mexican children to eat sugary American cereal for breakfast, and in general, I don't like going where I would not be welcomed.
