English culture is a sense of fair play in most things.
Politeness plays a key part.
Being able to express yourself clearly with minimal bias.
Having a good awareness of history. Both the good and bad parts we are responsible for. All over the world.
A (even begrudgingly) appreciation for the Royal family. Other countries we were formally responsible for have elected defective leaders repeatedly as heads of state. At least we haven't changed that....the odd political appointee aside.
But on a positive note: English Premier league and women’s football. Giving to Food Banks. British comedy. It’s music industry, fantastic performers. British culture is not dead.. .
England is a mongrel country in a multi-cultural alliance with other nations in the British Isles, To try for a simple sentence or so definition is a foolish endeavour. Even the language is not homogeneous across the islands, and with the long history of Empire and immigration for any one group to claim they are typically English would be arrogant and wrong. British tolerance is stretched at the moment, but it a characteristic of the nations the make up the UK.
@Hireath My friends and family who are veggies tell me that the veggie sausages and bacon are not so bad. However, I've not come across a substitute for black pudding. 🫤
@Hireath I'll look out for that. I sometimes have meat free meals and also I can recommend it to others if it tastes ok. Black pudding can sometimes be just a bit too spicy for me,
