@BlueGreenGrey Regardless of it's purpose, "... the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." If you have any doubt at all about whether that is an individual or communal right, I refer you to the Federalist Papers. As a free person, you have an inalienable right to self defense.
I hate that everyone brings up the overturning of Roe as some big example of SCOTUS overstepping. I begrudgingly agree with the decision. And I'm in good company because even RBG herself stated multiple times that Roe was badly decided and needed legislative shoring up. It was a bad decision when it was first made and it was a bad decision when it was overturned. 🤷♀
