Governor Abbott strikes again…

He’s passed Bill 229, cynically called the "Women’s Bill of Rights Act" (no, not the right to reproductive choices).

Okay i just read the bill and its disturbing.

It says governmental entities must identify individuals as either male or female when collecting vital statistics, even for purposes like antidiscrimination laws, public health, crime, or economic analysis.

This tells me that they do not care about trans people. They are going to put them in prisons where they were assigned at birth and that can be dangerous and life threatening. Also, if they report a hate crime they can turn around and say it wasn't hate because on paper you are as an example male. So in other words if i were a trans female and i reported that a man punched or choked me they could turn around and say well its not a hate crime because you are both men?

@TryingtoLava It's not as bad as all that. #MeToo has made huge strides raising awareness and challenging silence around sexual misconduct, but transforming culture and systems is a slow, ongoing process. There are still loads of activists and organizations continuing to push forward, aiming for deeper, more inclusive, and lasting reforms.🤗

@ElwoodBlues to me its just body autonomy, every person over the age of 21 should have the right to make informed decisions about their own bodies, however they choose to. its no different than forking (splitting) your tongue or having bone grafted on your forehead to look like horns. Or tattooing your eyeballs. You weren't born that way. So whats the difference? How is that accepted by society but not trans people? They deserve to live & exist just like everyone else.
@iamthe99 Sadly, MAGA is working just as hard to reverse those social gains. We now have some of those predators in government, when they should be in prison. 😞

This issue has become so muddled by politics. 1) gender is not the same as what sex someone is. 2) in several religious and cultural traditions, there are more than only the 2 bianary male or female genders. The most fitting exanple is Judaism. Jesus was Jewish; fun fact.
In judaism there are 6 manifestations of antatomical "sex"(meaning the way gentalia and internal sexual organs can be manifest.) Six!
Jesus the "Son of God" would have been the male form of the 6th. In Hinduism and seperately Japanese culture (history\lore) that 6th sex takes a male or a female form. In Japanese the Emperor was a male Futunari. Similarly royal bloodlines trace to iterations of that being having occured in other places throughout the world.
In Hinduism that 9th gender is often reffered to as an Androgyn (alpha either male or female) I dont speak hindi, but there is a word in that language.
Regardless in several cultures throughout the world the phenotypic expression of genitals and internal configuration has been recorded over many generations.
America, English, and the latin languages are the youngest and need to grow up!
My offspring are sometimes born these other 7 configurations. America, ready for adulthood?
APPARENTLY NOT!
Therefore, lets add a few details.
In Hinduism there are 9 4 base models each with a male or female dominant form then the one androgyn alpha male form has been documented that's 9 forms in Hinduism. After the "promised one" departed without becoming the female form of the messiah?
In judaism there are 5 or 6 again only a male royal ever became manifest? Other than that first time. (Dubbed Adam and Eve (in abrahamic religions), actually Samael and Naomi in what was the "Garden of Eden")
In Japan 7. 3 base models of either male or female dominant and a Futunari base model(the male Futunari) and a female futunari. Thats the best i can explain the Jspanese iteration(the numbers dont quite add up.
In Native Anerican Culture there are 5
In the germanic tribes there are at least 3.
In America only 2 legally exist.
Per the oldest Japan even the alternate configurations almost always breakdown into male or female, similar to hinduism where all have a male or female version and the 8th is an adrogyn male Alpha known as Futunari male in japanese. The female form Futunari did ever occur. and was documented?
King David in Judaism was that form. The male form of the androgyn from in Hinduism.
In Islam Mohammad was that.
The Buddha was that.
The Pharoahs were that.
Its so dumb. But there is a karmatic heirarchy one must traverse across lifetimes reincarnations and amid a myriads of mistakes to reach being a boddhisatvha (the enlightened one!)
It is NOT a bianary process. But christain politicains are!
Therefore Adam and Eve (Samael and Naomi) were Japanese!
WTF.
Lesson? TRY AGAIN.

I'm just sitting here waiting for someone to explain why trans erasure protects women.

And I was going to upload a cool video of me sitting by my phone with crickets chirping outside, but something's wrong with video uploading.
@LordShadowfire I have friends I’ve known for 30+ years, old school feminists, some but not all are bi or lesbian (so they do support the LGBTQ community). I can tell you what their concerns are. I used to agree with much of it before I educated myself a bit.

It’s pretty basic; what they believe is that a person with a penis is male, unequivocally. And potentially a danger to people without penises. Some of my friends have been victims of sexual assault, and they value "women only" spaces. So they see people with penises "infiltrating" such spaces as problematic.

I see affiliating oneself with the right, who also wants to take away rights from cis women, gays and lesbians, as even worse.

@bijouxbroussard I didn't say I didn't understand the reasoning. The problem with it is, the logic doesn't logic.
@LordShadowfire Fear (for whatever reason), often overrides logic.

@KunsanVeteran Exactly. There’s a group that came into being after Uvalde and I hope they’re still as vigilant as before—"MAGA"
(Mothers Against Greg Abbott).
@bijouxbroussard Yes! I am a big proponent of them!

@jehova Unfortunately, in the U.S. some people care very much, enough to legislate discrimination and the removal of personal rights. While this may not affect me personally, I agree with the concept that "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere ".
jehova · 31-35, M
@bijouxbroussard yes and religiously. Americans loves to scream religious freedom. There are 9 recognized sexes in Hinduism, 7 in Japan. 6 in Judaism, 5 in native American tribes.
If we shift this into a religious freedom issue. Maybe it just goes away. We can prsy!
