How many people in this country are slaves? Slaves to alcohol, slaves to tobacco, slaves to drugs, slaves to adultery just to name a few.

@Baremine that's true

The Gentiles will be the Jews' slaves =
Isaiah 14:1-2 (CEB) = "The Lord will have compassion on Jacob, will again choose Israel, and will give them rest in their own land. Immigrants will join them, and attach themselves to the house of Jacob. 2 The peoples will take them and will bring them to their own place. The house of Israel will possess them as male and female slaves in the Lord’s land, making captives of their captors and ruling their oppressors."
In the Jewish Babylonian Talmud, each Jew will get 2,800 Gentile slaves in the afterlife.
"Resh Lakish said: He who is observant of fringes will be privileged to be served by two thousand eight hundred slaves, for it is said, Thus saith the Lord of hosts: In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold, out of all the languages of the nations shall even take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you, etc"

@Diotrephes that's pretty crazy, I never heard of that. When Jewish people die they'll get Gentile slaves in the afterlife. Is that the Gentile's punishment/hell than?

Slaves and women are regarded as property in the bible. To do and be treated as whatever the whims of the master. Included sexually. Highly doubtful they would care about what the Torah says.

If a person accepts the message of the entire Bible.. They will not see slavery as ok..
Adstar · 56-60, M
@Sweetguy024 You have to see slavery as a punishment God inflicted upon a people who where guilty of committing evil.. God could have had them exterminated.. At lest with slavery their family line had an opportunity to continue on after that episode of slavery ended...
Sweetguy024 · 36-40, M
@Adstar suppose I could see that. But technically aren't all people guilty of commiting evil/sin?
Adstar · 56-60, M
@Sweetguy024 Yes everyone is guilty of doing evil.. But there is a difference.. Some are proud of the evil they have done.. Some are ashamed of the evil that they have done.. Gods mercy is always open to those who have remorse for their sins but His wrath is upon those who are proud of them..

Slavery in it self is not a problem. The problem is who your master is, that is the Biblical point.
