If the Bible is 100 percent God's word and all true, does that mean slavery is ok during certain situations?

Since God didn't ban slavery in the Bible, he set rules kinda regulating it. Such as if you buy a slave you have to let them go free after 4 years, and if they disobey you can beat them as long as you don't kill them. If that's in the Holy Bible, than slavery can't be that bad, right?

If a person accepts the message of the entire Bible.. They will not see slavery as ok..

@Adstar well whoever wrote that particular section of the Bible did see slavery as ok. They probably weren't inspired by God, I don't see God saying it's ok.

@Sweetguy024 You have to see slavery as a punishment God inflicted upon a people who where guilty of committing evil.. God could have had them exterminated.. At lest with slavery their family line had an opportunity to continue on after that episode of slavery ended...

@Adstar suppose I could see that. But technically aren't all people guilty of commiting evil/sin?

@Sweetguy024 Yes everyone is guilty of doing evil.. But there is a difference.. Some are proud of the evil they have done.. Some are ashamed of the evil that they have done.. Gods mercy is always open to those who have remorse for their sins but His wrath is upon those who are proud of them..
