Because Amber took him to court against him in England. The verdict was guilty of abuse on presumption/likelihood of guilt, no evidence. Disney then cancelled Johnny's future roles in the lucrative 'Pirates of the Caribbean' franchise as Disney considered replacing him.

However, Johnny turned Disney down when they made him a generous offer afterward when he was cleared of all charges.

as far as I can tell, Heard was telling the truth in her op-ed about being the victim of abuse. But I do think she lied multiple times and I do think Depp is a sad pathetic privileged man. Too bad they both can't be sent away so none of us have to hear about them for a long long time.

I think there might be some grain of truth in what she's saying, but it seems to me she was the worse person in the relationship.

Also, she can't act for shit. I don't know how she ever got an acting role in her life.
