Anyone think items can be “haunted”?

Like possessed by something?

You hear about dolls, jewellery, and trinkets having something attached to them that can manifest as paranormal activity. Anyone experienced anything like that before?

I was on Facebook Marketplace the other day, and some fella was looking to get rid of a handheld hoover. He said it broke years ago, but it still turns itself on in the middle of the night when unplugged. He wanted rid of it because odd things keep happening around his house, and he attributes it to this hoover.

I feel if you were a ghost/demon, you probably wouldn’t attach yourself to a domestic appliance, but who am I to say.

Now that would be a punishment for me, to attach myself to a domestic appliance..😀
When I first moved into our home, the lady who owned it before us had left her husband's temporary grave marker in the basement. We had many strange goings-on until I returned the marker to her. 😯

@Journaling4MeAgain wow, that’s crazy.

How did you eventually figure out it was related to the grave marker?
Journaling4MeAgain · 56-60, F
@Paimon It was just a hunch. When I saw the marker on top of an old freezer in the basement, I was like, ok I don't really want that here. Then I gave it back to his wife, and "poof," everything was fine.🙂

@Journaling4MeAgain I see. Like he was reaching out because he wanted to be reconnected to his wife or something.

At least it had a pleasant ending.

I purchase many itens from antique shops for years and haven't experienced anything paranormal.
Paimon · 31-35, MNew
@Blondily You have? I’d be interested in hearing that experience.

Yeah, a doll, not matter your stance on the paranormal, seems a bad purchase lol

@Paimon yes saw an intity that scared me and others years ago.

Yes never buy old dolls ! 😆

@Blondily wow, that sounds cool.

A Dybbuk. Look it up. There's a movie about such as well.
Paimon · 31-35, MNew
@DeWayfarer never heard of a Dybbuk. How interesting, thanks.
"the haunted Hoover".......funny!

i have a music box in a curio wall unit. it keeps playing one or two notes out of no where

@LILY61 is it a bad battery thing, or does it just freak out occasionally?
Confined · 56-60, M
Ya never know. TV programs have shown some odd things having attachments.

Poltergasm. Some would ahahaha
If it isn’t science, it’s superstition.

@BlueSkyKing rocks falling from the sky were considered superstitious folklore until a large meteorite shower over France in the early 1800s provided undeniable evidence that led to the science of meteorites.

Just one example of how superstitions can turn into the science of tomorrow

@4meAndyou maybe a little of both! Something is connected to the object, but only those more susceptible can experience stuff.

Who knows!
Nope. And there's no god, devil, angels or any other such nonsense, either.
