I wrote this several years ago. It's my opinion on this:

For one, salvation has nothing to do with the different religions of this world. If you want to know God, it matters what HE thinks, not what flawed man with his religious, man-made philosophies, says. That's why God gave us His Word. It won't lead you astray and when we have questions about life, we can go straight to the Author of life, Himself, in His Word and have all our questions answered right there. There's no better source of wisdom and truth. No confusion. There's a lot of false teachers and religions out there that can get you really confused, and God is not the author of confusion. What does Jesus say in His Word about your question? He says a lot of things. One being, there are not many paths to God. He said there's only one. Man didn't say it. God did. So who will you believe, God or man? He said to stay on the straight and narrow path. He also said, "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me."

The first commandment of God is:I am the Lord thy God; thou shalt not have strange gods before Me. Thou shalt not make to thyself a graven thing, nor the likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, nor of those things that are in the waters under the earth. ( Exodus 20:3-4) That wasn't a suggestion.

He also said if you're going to follow Him, then follow Him all the way. You cannot worship two different gods. The key to salvation is total commitment, not half a heart commitment.

He also said, "There's a way that SEEMS right unto man, but the end thereof, brings destruction." Ask God...not man, and you'll never go wrong.

Hold whatever viewpoints make you happy on a suspension-of-disbelief basis. If that involves holding contradictory views, so be it; it's fine as long as you don't take it too seriously.

Not at all. It's just gatekeeping, like the people that say you have to either like Star Wars or Star Trek, but can't like both. They're trying to shame you into committing to only one fandom, but there are no factors or circumstances beyond that shaming limiting you to only one path.

Each religion is compelling for their own reasons, which is why people follow them in the first place. There's no legal mandate (in secular places, at least) forcing you to abide by one alone, and nothing but people's judgement keeping you from following what you like.

Maybe there are logical or moral inconsistencies depending on how different the religions are from one another, but that's a topic to be decided on a case-by-case basis. A lot of religions have overlapping ethics and philosophies, so it's not at all weird to bridge the gaps between them. Even Jesus is a respected prophet in Islam
This is my decision about it.

1. I believe in one God.
2. I think God has sent us many prophets at many times in many places.
3. I think if a person is seeking God and trying to achieve a closer adherence to what God wants of us, God will understand our hearts.
4. Many people who practice an organized religion are sincere and truly believe. Many aren't and don't.
5. Rather than try to sort out exactly which rules are right and which are wrong, I find it more uplifting and rewarding to believe God created us, knows us, and would not have given us a Rubic's cube to solve before we could find truth.
6. I think God is always ready to forgive and receive us, and I don't think anyone who tries to prevent that is doing God's work.

It might be helpful for you to focus on yourself as a spiritual being and what that means to you... rather than conforming to a religion. You know what others are telling you, but what is God trying to say to you?

Spirituality is from God, religion is manmade.

Yes..

You either believe Jesus or you can believe some one else..

A relationship with Jesus is 100% or nothing..

If another religion teaches something in opposition to Jesus then you cannot believe it and at the same time say you are a follower of Jesus.. If you believe the other religion you are basically calling Jesus a liar on that matter..

In the end people have to decide in whom they believe and in whom they trust.. People who treat religion as a smorgasbord and wind up with a personal religion made up from a bit here and a bit there do not trust in anyone but their own desires and opinion on what religion should be.. In the end they are their own god and a follower of no one..

Its a bit of an "All roads lead to Rome" concept.

No matter the religious doctrine or ideology. All those who ultimately arrive at the same conclusion. Which is God (known by many other names) exists.

Its a matter of choosing your preferred route of Prayer & Worship.

So then how can anyone who believes be wrong.

Personally I have chosen to attach my beliefs less to specific labels & doctrine, and travel a deeply ' spritual journey'

A journey dependent on learning and making descsions based on Consciousness.

🙂 As the years have go by, I feel ever more comfortable with my choice.

No one should judge anothers belief,Orthodox believe all that follow their conscience can attain Paradise
No. There is no way a person can follow every rule of a particular religion. Cherry picking must be done. The one size fits all mentality has never worked for literally anything.
Also what happened to the "those that are not against us are for us". But that conflicts with the those that are not with me are against me".

Thus you have to cherry pick. And what you pick will determine if you are good or evil. As evil people will choose rules of fear and hate. And good people will choose rules of love and peace.

Limiting yourself to a single religious group would imply that they have all the answers. I don't believe any religious groups is without error, so a hybrid faith makes more sense.

There's no right or wrong about it. Think and believe whatever makes sense to you.

Freedom comes from not holding onto any ideas. Our beliefs inevitably change.
Good people do good, evil people do evil. But it takes religion for good people to do evil.

No. You believe what you want to believe.
Rather know than believe.
One thing that doesn't make sense to me is being able to make complete sense of someone like God. That means if you find a belief that makes perfect sense to you, then there's something wrong. Unless, of course, there's nothing wrong with you
