Do you think it's wrong having different religious beliefs at the same time instead of sticking to one

I believe in Jesus but I like other religions as well but I have a few friends and there after putting the fear of God into me saying it's wrong.
Like my friends are Christian's and Cathoilics and they only believe in just that right , but I'm very open to others and if I bring up different religious beliefs one could come back to me and "say Don't put no false Gods before me " .
That freaks me cause I be thinking is that person over the top about it and since my friends be saying that i can distant myself from them cause i believe a lot of religious beliefs can help people out .
What's your view ? I'm just freaked out from it .
I can't enjoy reading books over it cause what they say is in my subconscious

Not at all. It's just gatekeeping, like the people that say you have to either like Star Wars or Star Trek, but can't like both. They're trying to shame you into committing to only one fandom, but there are no factors or circumstances beyond that shaming limiting you to only one path.

Each religion is compelling for their own reasons, which is why people follow them in the first place. There's no legal mandate (in secular places, at least) forcing you to abide by one alone, and nothing but people's judgement keeping you from following what you like.

Maybe there are logical or moral inconsistencies depending on how different the religions are from one another, but that's a topic to be decided on a case-by-case basis. A lot of religions have overlapping ethics and philosophies, so it's not at all weird to bridge the gaps between them. Even Jesus is a respected prophet in Islam
