Do you think it's wrong having different religious beliefs at the same time instead of sticking to one

I believe in Jesus but I like other religions as well but I have a few friends and there after putting the fear of God into me saying it's wrong.
Like my friends are Christian's and Cathoilics and they only believe in just that right , but I'm very open to others and if I bring up different religious beliefs one could come back to me and "say Don't put no false Gods before me " .
That freaks me cause I be thinking is that person over the top about it and since my friends be saying that i can distant myself from them cause i believe a lot of religious beliefs can help people out .
What's your view ? I'm just freaked out from it .
I can't enjoy reading books over it cause what they say is in my subconscious

For one, salvation has nothing to do with the different religions of this world. If you want to know God, it matters what HE thinks, not what flawed man with his religious, man-made philosophies, says. That's why God gave us His Word. It won't lead you astray and when we have questions about life, we can go straight to the Author of life, Himself, in His Word and have all our questions answered right there. There's no better source of wisdom and truth. No confusion. There's a lot of false teachers and religions out there that can get you really confused, and God is not the author of confusion. What does Jesus say in His Word about your question? He says a lot of things. One being, there are not many paths to God. He said there's only one. Man didn't say it. God did. So who will you believe, God or man? He said to stay on the straight and narrow path. He also said, "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me."

The first commandment of God is:I am the Lord thy God; thou shalt not have strange gods before Me. Thou shalt not make to thyself a graven thing, nor the likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, nor of those things that are in the waters under the earth. ( Exodus 20:3-4) That wasn't a suggestion.

He also said if you're going to follow Him, then follow Him all the way. You cannot worship two different gods. The key to salvation is total commitment, not half a heart commitment.

He also said, "There's a way that SEEMS right unto man, but the end thereof, brings destruction." Ask God...not man, and you'll never go wrong.
