I've been trying to report a wasp infestation that is taking over our communal garden.
We can't see a nest in the trees or attached to the buildings.
They just hover over the grass but have multiplied since Saturday when first spotted.
But trying to get our local council to deal with this is insane.
Pest control recommended I contact greenspace. I emailed them and apparently my files are too large.
I have finally been able to get it to their inbox only for them to tell me the Inbox is no longer in use and the email has been automatically redirected.
I can't say I feel confident about this.
The annoying thing is the children and the pets of the community can't go out there.
We had a nest of yellow jackets inside the BRICKS of our building. One or two a year used to get into my apartment. They can get into the tiniest cracks. However, there are also wasps that burrow in the ground. Until you KNOW where the nest is, through observation, there isn't much anyone can do.
[@mellwgirl] 🤔i can sympathise with your plight as i hate wasps but long as it stops away i will not harm them i would nott kill one . a few years ago i had some coming into my bedroom through a vent in my wall so much so i refused too sleepin there . much as i hated it we got a pest control in too get rid of them
We had then getting in through a crack in the front of our house. At the time, we had a wayward friend mooching off us living rent free in a basement bedroom. They were mostly only getting into his room so we maybe didn't rush to seal up the crack.
