The NRA's success

While watching a news item the other night on its annual convention, it occurred to me the NRA's marketing arm is very successful.
They sell guns to anyone, and then when people start getting shot they scare the crap out of the rest of you to buy a gun to protect yourselves.

It works, it works well!
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
democrats market guns better than the NRA ever has; obongo and biden administrations have sold more guns than every other president combined; they've also created more new gun owners.
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
@wildbill83 they're scare professionals whether they mean to be or not.
The constant push for legislation to restrict or ban firearms is the greatest marketing tool out there. Even Obama acknowledged he was one of the best gun salesmen around.

But hey...blaming the NRA is one of the leftist favorite tactics. Yet gun grabbing Bloomberg's Everytown For Gun Safety out spends the NRA like 20 to 1 pushing gun control. Just another gun control failure to toss on top of the mountain of other failures.
@sunsporter1649 true about the peacocks, but what a great game fish! We've got an otter problem in our lakes too.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@BizSuitStacy Good fight, smart fish, love getting one on line

NRA doesn't manufacture or sell guns, or any arms

But Planned Parenthood does
TexChik · F
Complete bullshit. The NRA does not sell guns . The NRA protects our constitutional right to keep and bear arms .
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
@Convivial If the NRA is "selling fear" as you claim, then it's a glorified lemonade stand compared to democrat policies...

how much profit you think has been made over covid?

how about global warming/climate change? 🤔
Convivial · 26-30, F
@wildbill83 please stay on topic
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
@Convivial oh I forgot, leftists don't like logical analogies... it's destroys their narrative & credibility... my bad... 🤦‍♂️
helenS · 36-40, F
A vicious circle yielding a lot of profit. 😐
helenS · 36-40, F
@Tracos Thirty pieces of silver, that's what their profit really is.
hunkalove · 61-69, M
@helenS Profit is all that matters. Not people. This is America.
helenS · 36-40, F
@hunkalove I encountered a different America when I was there as a student.
Starting to think all the gun grabbers are low key share holders in AR-15s and ammo.
Each time they come for the guns. Americans go buy more or each…

Convivial · 26-30, F
@beaglehunter as you may see below, I said it occurr we don't have gunsed at their convention where find are sold.
Secondly very few people here own guns... And I'm not worried about any kids being shut at school or birthday parties because we don't have guns... You work it out

The National Rifle Association (NRA) is a nonprofit organization that advocates for gun rights and firearm ownership. Its marketing strategy has been successful in promoting the sale of guns and in influencing public opinion on gun control issues. The organization has a strong membership base and has been effective in lobbying for pro-gun legislation.

However, the issue of gun control is a controversial one, and there are many different perspectives on the matter. While some people view the NRA as a powerful advocate for their rights, others argue that the organization's influence has contributed to a culture of gun violence and has hindered efforts to enact common-sense gun control measures. Ultimately, the question of whether the NRA's success is positive or negative depends on one's values and perspective on the issue.
Convivial · 26-30, F
@TeirdalinBot I'm pro not being shot, there's my stance!
Slade · 56-60, M
@Convivial Genius
beaglehunter · 70-79, M
i got it.if you want to ban tings tha kill out law cars they kill more people than guns.ban trucks they kill a lot of people too and then ban people problem solved guns and cars dont kill .people kill people and that no B.S.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
It's been so successful the NRA is collapsing - they're at the top of the mountain people are jsut randomly shooting each other all the fuckin' time. Like where else is there to go?
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@TexChik Fox News? Just google 'NRA Bankruptcy' or 'NRA losing members'.

This isn't some secret. And like, why be mad about it? You won. How many guns can you own right now? Do you wanna buy more? Go do it now.

If the government was gonna take away your guns they woulda done it ten years ago. They didn't. You won. Just yesterday a woman backed into someone's driveway because she got lost and got two bullets in the head. Freedom!

Who needs the NRA to lobby for gun rights?
TexChik · F
@CountScrofula uh huh . Funny how you libs hate constitutional watch dog groups 😂😂😂
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@TexChik I'm not a liberal
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
Minority gun ownership is way up and the cost of ammunition has gone through the roof.
originnone · 61-69, M
I don't have a gun.
hunkalove · 61-69, M
@originnone If I had ever owned a gun I woulda blown my brains out long ago.
TexChik · F
@originnone and now you want a cookie?
originnone · 61-69, M
@TexChik Yes, ma'am....I would like a cookie.
Outdoorfreedom · 56-60, M
They don't sell guns.
Convivial · 26-30, F
@Outdoorfreedom true, just promote the fear...
Slade · 56-60, M
@Convivial lame 🥱
Azlotto · M
I've been an NRA member most of my adult life. I'm pretty sure they don't sell guns.
@Azlotto Oh, that's not true. They sell guns on behalf of gun manufacturers. They might not conduct the financial transactions, but they promote the use of guns, and they buy politicians to make sure nobody can stop them.
Azlotto · M
@LordShadowfire If you say so.
@Azlotto Darn right. I'm the final factual authority on everything.
beaglehunter · 70-79, M
the n.r.a. has never sold guns they do have adds in thier mags. get your facts right
Tried but true. Sell guns to one side, then when the other side gets scared, sell guns to them. Everybody dies, and they end up with all the money.
