What are the bad things you did as a kid?

Caught a garter snake at recess and put it in the chalk drawer of the teachers desk. When she went to get a new piece of chalk and found the snake she pissed herself.

In 8th grade my friends and I were stuck on the other side of town from where we lived. All our parents expected us home by 6,& we missed the last bus. I hotwired a '67 Ford 2 get home. Ditched the car a few blocks from home & made it with seconds to spare. Nothing came out of it but still it was crazy.

If we skip the sex, drugs, etc., and go for something funny... My geometry teacher, freshman year, loved saltwater taffy. So, at the final exam, I brought him a few pieces two were normal, but one was from a specialty store. The center was completely garlic.

About 3/4 of the way into the exam he ate it. A lot of kids in the class knew ahead of time about the prank. His face when he hit the center was hilarious. Priceless.

I was an angel most of the time but there was this one time, when I told my cousin that super glue, doesn’t actually make stuff stick together like our parents say and I dared her to glue her hands together with me and I put elmer’s glue on my hands and used real super glue on hers and I got into so much trouble for that trick 🤷‍♀️🤣

I was always heading off to play ball with distance no issue

My brother pushed me off the playground and broke my arm when I was 3. It took my parents a week to realize. As soon as I got home with my 'rock' cast I broke my brothers nose with it.

Around 6 we we played brandy with rocks cause we didn't have a tennis ball. That didn't end well.
big Bro wanted to play a game of bravery with the pitch fork. Kept stomping his foot down on mine to keep it from moving. Ended up skewering himself.
When big bro got healed he took to bullying me big time for that. I told him if he didn't stop I'd get dad to strap him. He dared me to, so: 'A(me) you F#cking c#nt, I'm gonna kill you!" That did the job.

In my 7th year I had a Bday party were we played a freddo frog hunt but found only wrappers (thanks dad) Some big kid tried to steal my big bro's bike with him on it and took all the skin off his knee, we could see bone. Later that year big Bro found dad's gun and shot me in the foot, pay back still for the pitchfork.

8th year we moved to a new house and big Bro cut his hand open jumping the back fence. We got caught by the cops playing with a house in the train workshop. I had been beaten up bad in school and had to go to hospital. Later that year I had a Brain tumor removed.

9th year I feel off the wharf on my bike during winter and nearly killed myself. During a camp I feel onto a BBQ hotplate. It was also the year I stabbed big bro when he threatened me with the knife to do all the dishes. And when he and I went to explore a cave I feel off a cliff.

Should I go on? My younger brothers were getting old enough to get into mischief by now too.

I walked into my parent's bedroom when my mother was taking a nap, holding a harmless snake. I'm really not sure if was because I wanted her to see how not scary the snake was, or because she'd insisted my dad kill a harmless green snake not long before that...when I was begging him not to. I knew she had a fear of and seeming hatred for them.

I used to throw rocks at gravel trucks as they flew by the house when I was a girl living on the farm. They were speeding and it was dangerous to be anywhere near the road and it was 100 feet from the house. So I threw rocks at them. They had logos on their door that had a red circle on the door. That's what I threw at. Finally one guy locked up the brakes and jumped out of his truck and came after me. I took off and Daddy saw him chasing me and stopped him. He called me over and asked WTF? I told him what I was doing ( throwing at the red ball on their door) and why. He went and looked at the truck and saw a dent in the red circle. Daddy called the sheriff about the speeding and then called me to the barn. I thought OMG, Im gonna get a beating. He gave me a softball and a glove and got his glove and we played catch. With his help and training, I became a scholarship college pitcher. But in the barn he looked over his glasses and said " do we need to have a discussion about the rocks sister"? 😉

Used to play chicken with Railroad trains on the trestle over the creek. If you cut it too close you went for a swim. It beat trying to arm wrestle the locomotive.
Yeah, the second part of the game was to outrun the railroad cops who gave chase....all part of the fun. I really don't think they had their hearts into it though. 🤷‍♂️

I caught a field on fire, got drunk while under age. Skipped school. Cheated on tests and the list goes on.

back at camp, this dude i disliked had a spider on him and i really hated spiders. so i took that as an opportunity to beat him thoroughly.

Drinking, drugs, fighting constantly. It was how I was raised

Harmless pranks and mischief mainly. Security guards knew us by name.

Unattended construction sites were irresistible to little boys. Never passing up an opportunity to climb on equipment, or fiddle with things left running or in place.

Abandoned buildings were our thing. Where many a hair raising adventure was had. Chased out inevitably by patrols.

More than once, evenings ended with a much older and larger guy chasing us. Looking to award the knuckle sandwich my mouthy idiot friend had bought for us all.

I was left to supply the imagination on hot summer days that stifled all but any sense of fun.
In return, they gave us memories to last a lifetime. Precious days as vivid and cherished now, my friend and I of 35 years still reflect on.

I used to tease the dog. Pull his whiskers and later just made the gesture and he would start chasing me.
