Why is it so easy to trigger a religious person?

hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Evolutionists and atheists (but I repeat myself) are so touchy about their religion to even question it will bring the worst out in them.
@hippyjoe1955 "JBird ...I genuinely don't care about you. You are just letters on my computer screen that I laugh at because the 'science' you proclaim is 200 years out of date. [THIS:] You are nothing and have nothing [Is not what Jesus Christ was about.] but you think you are somehow smart.

Your own words condemn you. You're very wrong about me, but that's fine. Denial is something our Biblical learnings will have taught us has happened before.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@KayraJordyn What exactly do you think I am denying?
I wrote that you are wrong about me. Perhaps that might guide your understanding. I am not an atheist. I am not an evolutionists. I am not even a democrat. I am more like you than you think. But I separate myself from you when you begin to mock people for being less fortunate than us when it comes to understanding what we might consider God's Truth. That makes you seem as foolish as they could perhaps be. It depends: Were they given the same chance as we are to know God in the way He wants us to? Or are we overlooking an opportunity to share exactly that hope He has for His children? Are we perhaps chastising instead of sharing in love? I've done this. I see you doing this. It isn't right.
It's crazy how popular religious post get

My Faith isn’t based on the actions of those that claimed Christianity but didn’t demonstrate it. My Faith is based first on Jesus. You want to evaluate/criticize/ base misogyny or slavery on the “Religon” then meet my Savior.
@Pfuzylogic Before, you said “read your Bible”. I’ve read it at length. It took me at least 35 years, including a childhood of indoctrination, to get to this point.
Pfuzylogic · M
@bijouxbroussard
I don’t think I bossed you like that.
I respect you way too much.
But there is truth in the Bible.
pedrohedgerow · 61-69, M
Because religions require total belief and trust,as well as adherence to a life style.If others question a belief,and can show it to be false,the result is meltdown,because it means a revaluation of everythingthe persons life was based around.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
Same as liberals. It is how they are trained to react to any pushback.

Also, to believe in the pack of lies depends on small lies so if one lie is questioned it collapses.
SW-User
@MasterLee Of course you haven't. 🙄
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@SW-User not being one of them might account for it
SW-User
@MasterLee That could be.
Pfuzylogic · M
It is so much easier to trigger someone that believes in the “Big Bang” fairy tale.
Try it some time. 🤣
JBird · F
@Pfuzylogic trigger? I was just stating the obvious. Why do you have to call everything triggered when someone contradicts you? Yeah, Bible has too many blunders that I can't just believe unlike science which doesn't states a fact without proof. So, yeah, I believe in science because it saved my life not Bible.
JBird · F
@Pfuzylogic if you can make fun of science for not able to prove an advanced theory like big bang, why can't I do the same for the questionable love of God for his children and blame for all the evil loose on the earth? Now you're the triggered one.
Pfuzylogic · M
@JBird 😱
Oh my you really turned that one on me.
I just laugh at the arrogance of the “wise”. We really know less than 1% of the wonders of the universe.
My favorite thing is when I get into a discussion of science and I’m “given” a reading assignment. Then the assigned admits they are lost and just didn’t know how to discuss the subject matter at hand.

Some are fanatics and they only they are right
Imagine something you are truly passionate about (and if you have nothing, I pity you). And no matter how passionate you are about this thing, imagine it becoming your whole world, part of every aspect of your life.

Now, imagine with all the love you have for this thing, you encounter people who openly and constantly make fun of it and you for loving it. You deal with people seeking to destroy it or get it banned.

To me, that is why some religious people get triggered.
@PrivateHell Religion is quite good at"destroying", "banning" and putting down people it stigmatizes as outsiders.
It's not just about love in general, it's love for a simplified , dualistic, representation of life, and therefore a special repressive social order that maintains that flawed and primitive representation of life.

People don't like their beliefs questioned because then they might question their faith...that's a no-no in their world.

@Miram you think only two people got triggered? Check out the comments. 😂
SW-User
Because they enjoy imagining themselves as martyrs, just like their hero Jesus.

Once a religious person put their faith upon God, they will follow God wholeheartedly. That faith becomes a part of them, and their connection to God is powerful and overwhelming. To them, their love for God is more than anything. Because they understand that God loves us all even though God can see sins inside us. And God is the one who guides us in our life, show us the path, forgive and save us from our sins.

God believes in us even though we don't believe in God. The love of God for us is an eternity. That is why religious people feel offense because they don't want to against the love of God and the faith that God trust in them.

Some but not all of them seem to be in defensive mode 24/7.

If you don’t believe and live as they do you are going straight to hell.
Some are really taught to treat others who don't believe as them as though they're not worthy of what they themselves are. It's indoctrinated into them. Not cool. There are many false teachers out there. Some people may call anyone who preaches a certain set of values a false teacher. I tend to set that lovely title aside for cult leaders. @MsLibrarian

Neuroscience says that challenging someone's core beliefs trigger the same fight or flight responce as physically attacking them.
So much anger, judgment, finger-pointing and self-righteousness. I wonder how many responders to this even cohabitate with people whose opinions differ from theirs on the daily. It shouldn't shock me, but really, I wonder if some of the responders to this can function in this world of differences in a healthy way. Anyone of any faith, anyone who reject faith, can be equally certain of themselves. We have to leave room for personal choice, or it all falls apart. Eek.
They identify on a personal level with their beliefs. A slight against their belief is thus a slight against them. It becomes personal.

Well I do find it amusing that many conservative religious people are just as sensitive and snowflakey as the liberals they so detest. Say anything negative about their religion and they fly off the handle, get all emotional and start asking for people to be censored. Reminds me of the SJW college student types. Two peas in a pod really.
karysma · 31-35, F
It's easy to trigger anyone with their own beliefs
anathemaJack · 46-50, M
Because in the back of their psyche they kinda know something ain't kinda right with the stories and the mindless rituals and the dogma; so they go ballistic so they don't have to face those facts? Maybe? 🤔
SW-User
Honestly its easy to trigger liberals too.just triggered a stripper who claimed of being highly dignified .
Platoscave · F
@SW-User ditto for fascists. They are WAY MORE out of touch, believe it.
because they care too much about that one thing. they take everything about it personally
walabby · 61-69, M
Because they know everything...
MsLibrarian · 31-35, F
@walabby They think they know everything....
walabby · 61-69, M
@MsLibrarian Exactly!
Platoscave · F
they have been abused and are in denial
MizzBella · 31-35, T
Because they're small minded

JBird · F
@SW-User uhh, what being fat to do with religious beliefs? Also, have you seen me?
SW-User
@JBird oops, did I trigger you?🤣 Sorry
JBird · F
@SW-User how come am I triggered, fatty? Wow you copied my comments. Genius 🙈
I can trigger you in 2 seconds but I'm too decent to go there
JBird · F
@RooiSoosSkarlakenWitSoosSneeu oops, did I trigger you? 🤣 Sorry
@JBird ha ha
no
SW-User
I don't know if religiousness relates to one's temper .-.
Take that back, or we're donesies!! 😡 @SW-User
SW-User
@KayraJordyn donesies id the cutest word I've ever met XD

And I cannot take it back v.v
I believe it sincerely

I believe one religious person can be calm and have strong patience and others may get upset more easily
MougyWolf · 36-40, M
because they have religious beliefs
JBird · F
@MougyWolf does religious beliefs always tell you to get triggered?
It's easy to trigger anyone on a close to home subject
SW-User
Because Religion comes first for them.
SW-User
I find all people easily triggered now a days LOL
Mainly because they believe strongly in something that cannot be proven beyond a doubt. A book written by ancient believers isn’t really proof of fact, only that people have believed the same things for a long time.

@SW-User really, you're absolutely alright if someone says that your religion is fake?
