If abortion remains legal...

Should a man be able to choose if he WANTS to pay child support or not? HIS wallet HIS choice.
BlueVeins · 22-25
Only if we have some kind of universal social support system that ensures that the children will be adequately cared for regardless of child support. To be frank, men kinda get hosed under the current system, but just getting rid of child support would increase child poverty and I absolutely cannot accept that.

@BlueVeins I am glad you are back

Pay up deadbeat.
Trustyles · 31-35, M
@HootyTheNightOwl So you think abortion should be punished?
Trustyles · 31-35, M
@SW-User It is also HER kid.
@Trustyles No, but I also don't think that abortion should be used as a means to get back at the man as some women do, either. If you're big enough to be having consensual sex, then you're big enough to understand that you may create a life and should at least consider your options before you jump into bed with him/her.

Come on... most of this is common sense adult stuff. It's not that hard for either gender to avoid pregnancy if they desire to do so. They teach you about sex in most schools, so you know exactly how children are made and how to avoid it happening. They even tell you why it's a bad idea to keep your condoms in your wallet.
He already has that choice... it's called a condom
@Trustyles Exactly... how does she get pregnant if you're using a condom and she is also using protection where possible???
Trustyles · 31-35, M
@HootyTheNightOwl Even then accidents happen.
@Trustyles "Accidents" are more likely to happen if you go stealthing and decide not to use any contraception at all.

If you're really that desperate to avoid children, keep it in your pants. I've been abstaining for six years so far... and, would you believe that I've never been pregnant once - I haven't even had as much as a pregnancy scare. Better still... I don't need to worry about any contraception screwing up my body's natural hormonal levels, either.

It takes two to make a baby... at least for the moment.
Two play, two pay. A man should be able to choose to raise the child if a woman doesn't want the child.
The whole thing is messed up.
And...I don't agree with abortion. It's not birth control.

@MonaLisa86 Does that mean that you have to let them have sex with you without a condom?

@MonaLisa86 How would you know that if you're not on the scene? they could be lying.
smiler2012 · 56-60
{@trusttyles ] no that is a totally different thing . you have moral obligations to a child in there welfare and bringing up of the child in question
Trustyles · 31-35, M
@smiler2012 Why doesnt the mother have the moral obligation to not abort the child?
smiler2012 · 56-60
@Trustyles it is wrong to abort because your partner is a skinflint only reason abortion should be used for mmedical reason s if is endangering either the mother or child
If you don't want to assume the responsibility of being a father and having to pay child support, and so on-- don't have sex with a woman.
Trustyles · 31-35, M
@CopperCicada The thing is that Susan has a choice if she wants to support the child,or not. Steve will go to prison if he refuses to support the child, so he has no choice.
@Trustyles OK. Make abortion illegal and then we can have more men responsible for child support,
Trustyles · 31-35, M
@CopperCicada The easiest route would be to just give men the choice as well. I am pro choice. Both parties should have a choice though.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
He should've wrapped his egotistical di*ck up in a condom.
Go get snipped if you don't want the consequences and then you have all the unprotected f*cks you want 'til it falls off

And for God's sake, don't ask me that same bs question you're asking everyone else. 🙄
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Trustyles If having "protected" sex is so wrong, then you pay the consequences should she get pregnant. It's simple logic. And once again, if you haven't any need for a child in your life, go get a vasectomy. Only would I allow a man in me(condom or not) is if we shared a deep emotional connection and loved each other. I'm not a hoochie, so forgive me since you're apparently not used to my type. With that being said, I hate condoms myself, but we have access to this valuable commodity of various birth control practices in case you weren't aware. You should know who you're screwing first and foremost. Start there.😉
Trustyles · 31-35, M
@MoonlightLullaby I agree with you 100%
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Trustyles You're welcome for the enlightenment. Now use it wisely please.😏
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
Nope, his choice was when he unzipped his pants.. if they are in a relationship sure they get to discuss it but ultimately it's the woman's choice and if the baby is born sorry but he IS the father, like it or not, so pay up.. ideally step up, be a man and help raise it.
Trustyles · 31-35, M
@Adaydreambeliever So you would willingly let a man inside you without a condom even if YOU dont want to get pregnant?
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
@Trustyles Don't make this about me.. it isn't about me, and I suspect you know that and maybe are trying to twist it to make it about whoever replies deliberately..

Fact is.. assuming sex IS a choice, and actually it isn't always for lots of women.. IF a man goes inside a woman and cums then HE is responsible too. He has a choice, and often both, in the heat of the moment get carried away and there's no condom, so both make that choice.. to proceed or not.. it's not 'more' the woman's fault. When two make a baby. both are responsible.

I hope you are satisfied with that answer. I think it explains pretty well. I tend not to keep revisiting old posts so I may not see any reply.
Trustyles · 31-35, M
@Adaydreambeliever Well in order to answer these questions honestly I make it about you. I fully agree with everything you said. They're both responsible and should have an equal choice.

I do get your point. If he's a decent man he will take care of his child regardless.

It takes two, period. No-one is innocent or without responsibility. Man or woman.
graphite · 61-69, M
There's lots of situations where guys who aren't even the biological fathers get hit with child support. He's near enough to the situation where the government decrees the "best interests of the child" overrule any semblance of fairness to the man. Wife has a kid with somebody else? You're on the hook for support just the same. Find out years later the kid you thought was yours is not? Pay up just the same.
Trustyles · 31-35, M
@graphite I know all that. People don't see or dot care.
Please go back to Florida senator.
Trustyles · 31-35, M
And what would be a good reason for choosing not to?
Trustyles · 31-35, M
@Trustyles
I don’t agree with abortion.
But I get why other people choose it.
Trustyles · 31-35, M
@CookieCrumbs I'm not against abortion at all. If you look at a lot of the reply's I am getting you will see the double standards though.
Doomflower · 36-40, M
Oh wow you're so original no one has ever said anything like that before. Truly hilarious.
Trustyles · 31-35, M
@Doomflower I know I'm not the creator of this question. love the sarcasm though. Makes you seem super smart.
