I don’t get it- why can’t you block him?

Well son when you learn to not troll all the Christian posts..... In the mean time you can always block me instead of having me goad you about your rubber girlfriend. Your choice.

For anyone wondering why more people, especially women, don’t come forward about stalking, this thread is exactly why. Here we’ve got a stalker publicly admitting to stalking—reveling in it, even—[i]and there are still people blaming the victim and cheering the stalker on[/i].

“You’re no saint,” some of them say, because you have to be blameless and perfect in order to be stalked, I guess?

“Just ignore him,” say others, more interested in haranguing the victim of stalking than uttering a single word against the dude who just admitted to it.

“He cannot possibly be stalking you if you can just block him” others insist, overlooking how the block feature is a common tool on websites for people to deal with, inter alia, [i]stalking and harassment[/i].

“I wish [i]I[/i] had a stalker,” say yet more people, desperate to turn anything they can find into a personal attack on the complainer.

“This was a lost cause,” some people say, [i]not[/i] of any efforts to get the stalker to stop stalking or get the people charged with enforcing community rules to take any action to prevent it or protect their user base, but of [i]the person being stalked[/i] ... because they didn’t immediately do what these tsk-tsk-zing Church Ladies wanted.

And on and on and on.

And let’s remember, this is one dude stalking another dude in a way that does not appear to have a sexual component. Women getting stalked by dudes, and in particular women getting stalked by dudes who have made it clear they plan to fuck them [i]regardless of the women’s feelings or consent[/i], get all of this [i]squared[/i].

The number of times I’ve been told by teachers, professors, guidance counselors, police, my own parents, coworkers, and/or looky-loo strangers that I should be “thankful” some angry man who wants to rape me until I “turn back straight” has gone from terrifying to comical to terrifying again more times than I can count. Then there’s people telling me I led the angry dude on, or that I should have known or dressed “better,” or that this is just “normal” and I should “deal with it” (but only if that means smiling and ignoring it) ... And I’ve had it pretty easy compared to some women I know.

I just find it interesting that people are taking this so lightly. Had it been a woman complaining about being stalked all hell would break loose.

Can't get enough attention ranting on about how he hates God who he doesn't believe exists.
So, now he's using the Twatter method to get others to turn on the ONE person patient enough to set the poor kid straight.
The kid refuses to use tools at his disposal.

SW's system gets clogged up with 100's of people flagging each other because people refuse to block and they expect the site to arbitrate their petty arguments , then really important stuff like flags for pedophilia get missed because admin have 100's of petty arguments to wade through instead of the stuff that's really important to flag.

Please save flagging for the important issues rather than personal petty squabbles.

If you block him he goes away but then you won't get to see him make an ass of himself every day ,i keep him open just for entertainment value.

My issue with SW is they let reports go for upwards of a year before they're reviewed sometimes, but I will go and report him.

Maybe we should give him a chance to explain his side of the story first???

Why don’t you understand that people can have differing beliefs? I’ve seen you troll other posts you don’t agree with. You don’t have to antagonize every post you don’t agree with. Scroll past those posts and comment on ones you do agree with. It’s pretty simple.

I blocked him a couple of weeks ago, I won't tolerate people like that....he's blocked, you should do the same, end it once and for all.

Usually once you ignore people they go away. I’d report him if he’s giving you problems.

If you don't want to block him, that's your choice, but SW is not obliged to remove a user just because you find them annoying. If you block him and he uses a second account to harass you, that's a different story. But if you won't block him out of spite, there's really nothing the SW staff can do.
