@Stereoguy Thanks-it was on a Saturday this year and i would normally have been at the rugby with a pint or two.

It’s on Thursday. So I guess we’ll see.
@DarkHeaven I really hope you enjoy your day. 😁

In all honesty, my birthday has been treated as just a regular day, since I turned 20..

@4meAndyou was that like bumps that ordinary people got.....or were you into a fetish.....
4meAndyou · F
@Platinum It was a family tradition. In fact, I even asked my Aunt, who is quite elderly now, if she had gotten her birthday spankings...🤣. She sounded very surprised, and said noooo....so it may have been a tradition reserved for ornery grandkids...🤣

I turned 70 and cried all day.

I had a birthday in August. I had hoped to get fried scallops delivered for dinner, but I decided to have Chinese food delivered, instead. At least the Chinese food place can find my apartment, unlike Door Dash.

Yes, Covid19 did affect my plans. I usually go out for a late lunch or an early dinner with my son. He was ill and just recovering from pneumonia, and didn't want to risk going outside.

I haven't had my birthday this year. I want to go on a hike with my family or a friend by the ocean. I wont eat in a restaurant, I'll bring a picnic, and make a cake.

@Stereoguy Yes. Always warm enough for a hike, rain or shine!

Yes. Unfortunately it did. I wanted to be in Thailand for my 50th (September) but that wasn't going to happen. I really didn't do anything to celebrate.

@Stereoguy :( I am so sorry my friend. It's been such a hard year. Still, I hope you can find some way to celebrate. Happy early birthday my dear, dear friend!

Mine was in January before covid
Carazaa · F
@TheWildEcho Of course, that beautiful beach and view of the open ocean, so nice. I could almost smell the fresh sea air and hear the seagulls, honestly.🙂 OK so I have a wild imagination!
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
Carazaa · F
@TheWildEcho There it is again 🙂 And what a sky...
Mine was pre-lockdown. Just family gathering, dinner with hubs, and a new tattoo.

Luckily between restrictions here in UK. We were under "the rule of 6" at that time which worked as we could have both the kids and their partners to us for my birthday meal - which was a take away curry which isn't an uncommon choice for me anyway 🤣🤣🤣

@Stereoguy It was brilliant - just so rare to have us all in a room together these days even without the Covid restrictions, the kids are both adults with their own lives. Actually since the covid things my son has been in the country all year so we've actually seen him more than in other years lol

My birthday was in October and I think I just went for a hike by myself and ordered pizza with the family.

The only thing COVID changed was that my two longest friends and I played some games on Zoom. We never hung out "online" until COVID. It was fun.

Yep, wanted to go out to eat at a halfway decent restaurant. They were closed. All restaurants were closed to walk-ins. 😞

@Stereoguy walked back home and was able to convince del taco manager to sell some tacos at the front door. Also closed to walk-ins.

No it didn’t affect me at all. My family threw me a surprise party for my 50th. Lots of friends I haven’t seen in a while.
