We had one of those days today where Marie decided to get up on her soap box about gender pay gaps.

The problem for Marie is that I earn more than her because she only works 8 hours a day to my ten, and has 10-15 days off sick a year compared to my 1.

Sorry Marie, but if you don’t work you don’t earn. There might be a disparity out there. But it isn’t happening to you.

I learned in college that there is a pay gap between sexes but this was years ago. I don't know if it still exists.

I missed out on my earned pay rise because despite hitting my targets before mat leave, I had a year out with a baby and had to wait for the following year to rehit those targets.
