She must be insecure and jealous. Confront her. Ask her what is going on. And report her behaviour to your boss and to Human Resources. She cannot do this. People need to talk to her. Stop it now before it escalates far worse. And let me know what happens. Be calm. Be firm. Stand up for your rights.
I deal with a lady like this at my work, in fact a coworker and I were talking about how rude and just plain short she iscwith me... I told him I really don’t care, if she wants to act like that so be it. I can’t concern my self with people who want to make situations miserable. I have better things to do with my time. Now I keep it 100% professional, if she gives me attitude I just say what I need to say to perform the job and I walk away. In the end, she is the single miserable person who acts like that, she isn’t bringing me down with her.
@Tryingtofindabalance I went through the same situation as you! What I discovered about my coworker is that she is someone who has a hard time finding love in her life...men don’t find her attractive...so this caused her to be really bitter and moody at work...like you I simply ignore her and don’t bother with her negativity!!!!!
@Vin66 it was a bummer at first, but now it makes no difference to me. I have the benefit of getting out of the office to visit clients whenever I want, so that helps too
Write everything down she does.Speak to your manager and ask then to deal with it.Make sure they know it's not going away.If your manager cannot resolve then a written grievance to your HR department is next.
A more direct approach is to call them out for it but it's confrontational.
If all else fails wait until there are no witnesses and push her down some stairs!
@lovelywarpedlemon Well it's good to have several options.Another is wait until Lpeters is on her period and add an extra ingredient to her tormentor' s coffee.
I know those things are maddening but taking them to a supervisor, etc. will make you seem like a whiner. If it were me in that situation, I would ask her what her problem with me was. That is an easy thing for ME to do but not for everyone.
Either confront her very assertively or go to HR. Don’t let this person walk over you and think it will just go away if you just keep your head in the sand. It will only get worse
