My supervisor has made me hate my job

I am sorry you are going through this. Believe me, micromanaging bosses have a tendency to lower a company's enthusiasm and employee morale. Believe me, I had to deal with a few of them and many of them have no clue what they are doing. It seems you are better suited for her job than she is.

The good news is that you have been praised and promoted by other supervisors. It should be obvious that any changes are due to new supervisor. Have you tried talking to her about it?

That’s too bad, sorry for what you’re dealing with. Not everyone is supervisor material and most get moved up because if who they know, not their qualifications!!

Bad management can ruin a good employee and the company they work for. I’m going through the same thing .

She sounds like a narcissist.A narcissist is often lacking in confidence but instead of improving themselves they choose to undermine others.
Ask for any instructions from her to be sent to you by email.You can use malicious compliance against her.That can be a vicious tactic.Watch out for gaslighting and her stealing credit for other people's work.

I had a micromanaging boss who did not know how to do his job at all. Pissed me off. Was real glad when he was fired. My next manager was not the best, still incompetent but I more or less forced her to butt out of our affairs unless I needed her for something like a signature on a form or something equally complicated. Best 6 months I had till I left the company.

Time for a new job or career change?

They say employees don't quit jobs or companies...they quit bosses.

One person in the wrong role is hugely detrimental to a company.

I hated being micromanaged. Especially when you know that they are telling you to do the wrong thing

You should tell that to her supervisors.

You should go to HR. You sound like an employee they'd be sorry to lose.

thats annoying as hell. time to look for a new job.
