Have you noticed that the pronunciation of 'stein' is dependent on perceived criminality?

Alfred and Brian are considered the good guys and are 'steins'.

Harvey and Jeffrey are the baddies and are 'steens'.

Just a thought. ;)

@Thodsis I've always pronounced it "Epsteen" but I was watching an interview with George Beatle recently and several times he said "Epstine."
