When did man invent showers?

Imagine fighting in war or working hard and not being able to shower after… all of human history is a horror story😰
They could take baths but no shower? Would people wash in the rain?

I think some of the first showers was way back in the 1700s. They cook water in like a pot and put hot water in a bigger tank above the head

There’s this thing called a bath, we did that instead.
