Sitting here topless in front of the air conditioner...

wondering how I am going to survive next week, when it will get HOTTER. My air conditioner and ALL my fans are running trying to spread out the cool air a little bit. My cat had a heat stroke yesterday. (He's okay now, thank you). It's 85F in here with the air conditioner running full blast day and night and 85F is the OUTSIDE temperature right now!!!! My bedroom where the cat is sleeping is about 90F.

Even with whole house A/C I woke up at 6:30 this morning because of the humidity. I can only imagine your situation as it was 80F here but felt like 94F!

@SageWanderer I am sitting in the ONLY cool spot right now...but if I stretch out my hand behind me I can feel the hot mugginess.

It might be time for a de-humidifier.

@4meAndyou I do have a dehumidifier with my HVAC unit but it only works at a set temperature and the basement takes time to reach that combination of heat and humidity. A dehumidifier may help, at least in the last hour my house has become comfortable.
