@Musicman We made the investment several years ago after enduring days without power after one hurricane. It has been a real life-saver through two hurricanes and a long freeze when the Texas power grid went down. Plus, we have occasional outages due to blown transformers and such.

@SandWitch I am actually too tired to discuss anything. I have been working on my yard all morning, cleaning up after Hurricane Beryl. I am soaking wet and exhausted.

@SandWitch I live in the midst of the largest oil refineries in the US, so I don't expect they will be supporting EVs during my lifetime.
