Good luck to our Texas neighbors dealing with Beryl

I hope everyone stays safe as Beryl hits our coast and moves inland. It looks like a rain event and not a wind event, so watch for flooding.

Predicted to hit my town in about 3 to 4 hours from now

@Jlhzfromep We are in the middle of it right now. The wind is around 75 mph. The rain is sideways, but it is not a heavy rain. Our street is still clear of flooding. Good luck!

@exexec stay safe

@Jlhzfromep We have some limbs down from our live oak, but everything else looks okay.

@exexec That's great news. Has the storm passed you now?
@Jlhzfromep Stay safe. Hopefully you are well above sea level and won't experience any flooding.

@Musicman We are still being hit hard. We are not far from the eastern eye wall, so we are getting some of the stronger winds, still gusting over 70 mph. We should be in the clear in a couple of hours.

@exexec I will be praying for you guys. 🙏🙏🙏

@Musicman Thank you. I never turn down a prayer.

@exexec Do you still have electric?
exexec · 70-79, C
@Musicman The power went out about two hours ago, but we have a whole house generator and have full power. I think we are the only house in the neighborhood with power.

@exexec You are very wise and well prepared. 🙂

@Musicman We made the investment several years ago after enduring days without power after one hurricane. It has been a real life-saver through two hurricanes and a long freeze when the Texas power grid went down. Plus, we have occasional outages due to blown transformers and such.

@exexec Very smart. I am proud of you 🙂
