I guess these shootings keep happening here in Murica because people act like they’re frontiersman and we make gang/mob culture seem gaudy and noble.

Shootings happen in many other countries. But only here is it replacing baseball as our national pass time. Because we tell people - if all else fails, pick up your gun.

See you at the next game/shooting

90% of all shootings occur in democrat controlled inner cities, with a handgun, by at least a onetime felon, but usually a 3-time felon. (As we all know it's illegal for a felon to have a gun in their possession. And we also all know criminals obey gun laws like democrats obey voting laws.)

@MistyCeeThe Chicago carnage is domestic?
@TexChik Probably some of it. I didn't give a percentage, like you did.

@MistyCee 😉

Take the democrat run cities of NYC, Chicago, LA, Baltimore and Philadelphia out of the mix and the US compares well with any other developed country. All those states have medium to large rural areas subject to the same strict gun laws but vastly fewer murders.

It’s not the guns, it’s the urban criminal element.

@ElwoodBlues You’re wrong

@redredred DUUUDE!!!
Did you actually READ your link?? Politifact rates your claim "pants-on-fire" false!!

Is the United States third in murders and are outlier cities to blame? No.

Thanks for the link that PROVES YOU WRONG!!!

@ElwoodBlues You are correct, I was debunking that myth on another site. Try this and fo the math

I think our lack of mental care plays a big part in it. Free roam crazies and all that.

@MistyCee it’s taking about a month for my friend to get his pew. It varies state to state though. I know some countries it’s more common to introduce children to firearms and teach them safety and to respect it. The whole idolizing thing you mentioned….maybe it’s a lack of guidance.
@SW-User His "pew"?

Is he starting a church?
SW-User
@MistyCee lol yes. The church of the pew 🔫

Or because people can buy assault rifles during their grocery shopping
It’s soon going to pass diabetes and heart attacks as biggest killer of Americans

@DancesForJabba The right doesn't like seeing the pandemic they've neglected being among the most prominent causes of death, so they've decided to spin up some competition? 🥴
Sighs. It's nice to think that America was great with the wild west.

Lots of people want to make America Great Again.

A sick country
Not true. Most of them have emotional problems. They are basically not well.
Some people are incapable of change. Even change that benefits them.

I'm sure I'm going to get a lot of eye rolls for this, but it's tied into toxic masculinity. The whole macho image of Billy Badass with his rippling abs, bulging biceps, and big old assault rifle.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@BohemianBabe As canonized by 80s action movies.😆
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@LordShadowfire We all watched 80s movies in Europe too. Didn't cause us to go around shooting people.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@ninalanyon Idk. Something in the water here.
