Pinged by a red light camera at 0040 driving to work for a 1am shift a few years ago. AUD$469 fine and 3 demerit points.
Got one about 10 yrs before for being over 40 kph in a school zone driving to a job interview. Don't recall what the penalty for that was.
Other than those, nothing else.
NSW RMS will not accept good driving history as mitigating circumstance for reduction of or fully cancelling a red-light camera infringement to a lesser (or no) penalty. Didn't matter there were no other vehicles at the intersection at the moment I was there.

Been stopped by the police for speeding yet never had a ticket even when I was driving at way over 100 mph.Having really long legs is great for getting out of speeding tickets.Police officers have told me I should not drive with my feet bare.I reply that it's legal and please check which they do.I'm right.I have been asked out on dates or for my phone number too.

2018, I was clocked doing 118 and yet I didnt go to jail or loose my licence and got a ticket for doing just 10 over the speed limit.
Cop ask why I going so fast. I told them the truth. "I wanted see this thing move and I didnt see you till it was too late" I didn't sugar coat it or nothing

I THINK it was in 2009. My mother was in hospice in Holt, Michigan, and I had to drive her to see a dermatologist for cancer on her nose. It was an early morning appointment, and I just wanted time to stop and get a coffee...so when I went through the 20 mph school zone...I was doing 27 mph. I could not even BELIEVE I got pulled over for that. Especially since the school was closed!!!

@ProfessorPlum77 Seatbelts have been mandatory in all of Australia for a lot of years. They save lives.

@zonavar68 I agree. I just hate the fact that wearing one is mandatory. Where I live, initially they could not ticket you for not wearing one unless they stopped you for a different violation. That opened the door to them later on passing a law where it was no longer a secondary offense, but a primary violation.

About seven years ago for improper driving. The motorhome was in neutral and accidentally rolled forward into another RV in the campground. The cop never showed up. The owner of the other RV didn't show up and none of the witnesses showed up to court either. The judge dismissed the case and expunged my driving record.
