Well I was out yesterday, and not to focus on any particular type ....but nearly every time I had to put up with someone that either wasnt looking, didn't use their indicators, were driving waaay too slow in the wrong lane or did something just blindly ignorant of all other drivers ....were all grey haired old men, bar one: who was an older woman completely oblivious to the all the traffic she was holding up while she made some executive decision diagonally in the middle of a road 🙄.
THIS is why I think everyone should be tested every five years after turning 45 or 50.
It's insane !
It's like people forget road rules.
And it gets worse this time of year as more are out doing shopping.
They make the road dangerous 😡

@OogieBoogie I know, right? I watched in horror yesterday as someone who was sitting in the left turn lane suddenly cut across my lane and one other lane of traffic to get to the far right lane. And I was driving my old ass Dodge work van, which if I saw coming, I wouldn't trust to be able to stop for anything. Some people just think they're immortal.

@LordShadowfire I swear it's getting crazier and crazier.
I mean, I get that traffic has gotten denser, quicker and less considerate than it used to be - but ya gotta adapt right ?
And I get some drivers are just effing rude and aggressive in their driving nowadays .
But I DO think that some drivers are out of touch - they think just coz they [b]used [/b] to be able to 'such-and-such', doesn't mean you can still get away with it these days .
Traffic is stacked closer together now, people don't leave safety distances ....and if they do - someone pulls into it 🤷.
I was coming home from the doctor the other day, and it's a nice coastal highway kinda road - 80kmh.
There was aline of like 20 cars stuck behind this old lady doing 60.
Now I get : drive to your abilities . It's safer to do that than exceeded them.
What I don't get is that she chose a highway to do this on. She could have gone back roads where the speed limit suited her ability .
But no .
I watched in horror as about 5 cars overtook her, (some in places where they shouldn't have) and some were pushing the overtaking lane way too hard and only scraped it in .
Each time I'm just hanging back further and further waiting for something to go wrong !
You're right ....some people seem to get this delusion that they are super human, or those extra hundred nanoseconds are gonna make all the difference to getting home...or that nothing that they do to buck the flow of traffic is gonna effect anybody else 🤷
I find it scary to be honest .
I think either they think their little crash cage is gonna save them if shit happens ....or maybe they just don't think at all 🤔
