Reasonably fast for a small car with a 1200cc engine.
I don't know its HP and torque values, though they might be in the Owner's Handbook. I don't need know those details: they not important.
It will manage 80mph but that is pushing it and anyway exceeds the 70mph speed-limit on motorways and dual-carriageways (where not otherwise stated as lower).
It and I are happier cruising at about 65mph on those roads; 55-60 on the ordinary roads where 60mph is the default national speed-limit outside of built-up areas. Once above that the fuel consumption starts to climb noticeably and even on a long journey rarely saves any significant overall journey time.
It does notice hills though, often necessitating dropping to 4th or even 3rd gear to avoid labouring the engine.
......
I did a little arithmetic. One trip I make occasionally, entails 200 miles on the motorway. I and my car can't do that in one stretch but if we could, and at the same speed throughout, it would take:
3hr 20min at steady 60mph,
2hr 54min at steady 70mph.
Less than half an hour difference, never important.

@SubstantialKick Yeah it's my favorite sedan still in production today. It was a hard choice between this and the Accord.

@SisterShadow Going fast on a bicycle always made me very nervous, too!
