Trippy · F
@Mamapolo2016 OMG!! I love those Bugs!! Know nothing about cars but that cute iconic shape always appealing to me 😎🤟
Mamapolo2016 · F
@Trippy I remember a trip on a highway. Bug was determined and had a lot of endurance, but not much speed. I was passing a truck on a hill when a fast mean car came up behind me at 1000 mph and I was in the way. He laid on the horn and blinked his lights but there wasn't a lot me & Bug could do.
Finally I put my arm out and slapped the door like a jockey on a racehorse, and the guy laughed in my rearview and dropped back until I could get around the truck. 😂

Yes - mine was a motorcycle too. A 250cc BSA 'Star'.

@Trippy Over the years they've done more than just reduce the size of bike a learner can use here. They have also extended the test to include a written exam as well as the practical riding test - but I think this is applies to all motor-vehicles not just motorbikes.
A tragic phenomenon has arisen among men (mainly) who passed their tests years ago on fairly modestly powered motorcycles, then might have gone on to ride big 500cc and above machines for a few years. Having not been on a bike for 40 or 50 years, but now retired with a reasonable pension and savings they have treated themselves to motorbikes of similar capacity but much greater power... And too many have found the modern bikes too powerful for their lost experience, with a quite a number fatally crashing.

@Trippy it's great. I'll never forget traveling and driving in a fairly big city. It was spring and the streets were strangely empty, and I stopped at a stop light and right along the side of me a girl pulled up on a motorcycle. Something about it. She just looked so beautiful and free.. like a bird flying.. if that makes sense.. it made a lasting impact in my memories. This is a great thing you did for yourself.
