I maybe dumb at times, but I don't think this will work for long

LOL!

Actually that reminds of an incident in which I was involed, years ago, with a small trailer with a wooden tow-bar.

A group of us on a weekend away, had borrowed this home-made trailer to carry all our kit. On the trip home we went over an unexpectedly severe ramp in a road-works area.

The car, a Series One Landrover, took it in its stride but the shock was too great for the trailer, and the single length of wood that masqueraded as the tow-bar, snapped! Pulled by the electrical cable, the trailer zig-zagged after us like an over-excited poodle on a lead while we slowed to a halt

We jury rigged a repair using bits of wood and wire scavenged from the road-works - including one of the carefully-set excavation guide-markers (this was on a Sunday or Bank Holiday afternoon) - and set off again. Stopping after about twenty miles to make sure our "repair" was still intact, revealed the trailer frame had been distorted, pushing one mudguard against the tyre, abrading the wall. As we pondered this, a Police car arrived....

The upshot was Police advice that we load all the kit into the back of the Landrover, already occupied by several people on the longitudinal seats; and take the trailer to a nearby farm whose owner was filling in an old quarry with builder's rubble and the like.

We did salvage the tow-hitch and lights board before consigning the trailer to its version of eternity.

So I can vouch for the unsuitability of wood for such purposes.

Wood might not last as long as she'd like, but it certainly gets the job done...

I hope he has some wooden chains to go with it.

Another SMH moment from the RV world. Campgrounds can be full of excitement.

Nope one good bump and well "there she Goes!"

nope, not very long

Especially in what looks like pine lol

Must be Ironwood. 🙄

Iron wood?
