Alaskan cruises are nice. I've heard good things about Iceland as well although not since all the volcanic eruptions I'm not sure how they're doing up there now.
We enjoyed our cruise to the Western Caribbean out of Galveston. I would love to cruise to the Eastern Caribbean next. My dream cruise is a river cruise in Europe.
@samueltyler2 I'm very aware of how hot it gets, but at least it's dry heat and you're surrounded by water. The hazard is staying out of the sun...but, if you like the sun make sure that you use sunscreen. I remember being a kid a hearing of Northern European tourists dying because they would fall asleep on the beach.
@Ferric67 Last summer it was often well above 100 F. Starting some days the thermometer read 42 or above. Some of the historic sites were actually closed when tourists collapsed from heat.
@iamnikki that is funny, we did so much hiking on our last Alaskan trip that I was wondering if it would still be as great a trip now that I am a bit older?
