Some people don't bother to check new messages no matter what they start with. LOL

I do not and will not respond to people I have never interacted with before, it almost always turns out badly. I am not interested in having my ego stroked or stroking someone else's.
And to the guy who keeps demanding I respond to his PM this isn't going to work so give it a rest already.

I believe if there's added a little more text most people will reply if they like what they see from your profile. If a stranger is messaging me for the first time, and I haven't seen them interact inside the threads I'd go look up their profile. If they look sincere I'll be replying back. If not, I will simply leave it.

I dunno. I sorta suspect that the same people who complain that those sorts of messages are far too dull and flavorless would complain about messages that are too crazy and weird if you came up with something more interesting. they're trying to kobayashi maru everyone and just want to have something to complain about. if they were getting no messages it'd be complaints about how the site is dead and nobody messages them.
