Do u believe there is an afterlife ? 🤔 🌞

Greetings ladies and gentlemen. How are you guys doing today. Do you really believe that there is a place or dimension that people go to after one passes away ? Do you believe in the afterlife ? No you don't have to believe in a god or a deity either. Yeah yeah.
I'm definitely not an atheist.
I believe. What do you believe in ?
Serious question here. I'll wait. 🤔

We go on after death. My ideas of what Heaven is have altered dramatically over the years but I know we are more than our flesh and I believe that inward substance (spirit if you will) does not see or need death.
Perhaps it is religious (God)
We become englightened or reincarnate
Or we blend with the universe and are part of it eternally)

@ravenwind43 Interesting point.

This is something I don't have even a vague idea about.

Just that there are more things than conventional beliefs have even a small inkling about.

The possibilities actually are infinite.

To say that there's a higher power involved in a after life, brings about the question of why we exist at all. That I am certain is involved around change.

So whatever the case maybe, in a after life, that as well must involve change of some type.

Could it be karma? Possibly.
Could it be like reincarnation? Possibly.

Those do involve change.

Could an after life be stagnant or unchanging? Where nothing is learned?

Not even close!

So many beliefs do take that point of view. Nothing but peace and love. That to me is a fantasy. What would be the purpose of that? 🤷🏻‍♂️

That's being stagnant and unchanging, as well as no purpose to it. The idea of a soul needing rest to me is ludicrous. Theres no body to need rest.

If there is some kind of deity involved, that deity itself must change as well. In fact that deity could be change itself.

I say "could be" even on that. Because change really doesn't care about anything but change.

Nothing though is outside of change. The absence of change is nothing or void. Including any deities.

Change abhors both "nothing" or void. Yet change is in everything else known of.

Even a black hole changes. Which is unimaginably powerful.

Even the whole universe changes.

And that is incomprehensible.

Yet the whole world over gainsays change itself, billions of times over.
yes, I do believe in an afterlife, and yes, it goes through that man in your picture. those are my views, i do not attempt to force them on others, but, since you asked........ thats what I believe.

I hope so, not for me but for my partner, she died an awful way and all alone. She died on Monday morning, and I did not realise how painful it can be knowing what she went through in secrecy.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Uncfred Sorry about your loss.
Do you believe that you will see her again ?
Uncfred · 61-69, M
@Zonuss The way I feel at the moment, I want to be with her wherever she is, not bothered how I end up.

I totally get the appeal of the idea of an afterlife; Heaven, Paradise, the Elyeasian Field, the Happy Hunting Ground, Valhalla. I wish it were real.

Perhaps I'll just pretend it's real.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@badminton But what if there is something out there that you don't know about.
badminton · 61-69, MVIP
@Zonuss Well, that could be very interesting.

Rather than believe in something I personally find immoral like mainstream religion. I would like to think, through infinite black holes and big bang events, everything exists. Including whatever heaven you wish to have. Not happy go lucky boring heaven no. But an extension of life through immortality love and turmoil. I remember my sister definitively saying "you can't have a heaven without a hell" 👀 surprised me she thought that. I mean I see religion as just a hope of going forward after death. So I will create my own delusions and hopes. Or at the least stay impartial till the end. Until proven otherwise

There is no doubt about after life. The decision you make before you die will determine how you spend eternity. Strongly suggest that you turn to Jesus Christ and accept what he did at Calvary. That is truth. The truth will set you free.
redredred · M
@Baremine I have more than doubts and none of my beliefs are based on a silly Bronze Age myth.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Baremine And how do I know you are a real Christian.
You sound like I don't know the truth. 🙂
Baremine · 70-79, C
@Zonuss a real Christian has his faith exclusively in Christ and what he did at the Cross. I never said you don't know the truth. I sincerely hope that you do and that is where your faith is. There are a lot of people who have heard the truth and deny it.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Do you believe that light can come from a torch with a busted bulb and a dead battery? I dont.. If even the sun at the centre of our solar system has been completely recycled at least three times then I figure thats as close as I am getting to immortality...😷
Zonuss · 41-45, M
redredred · M
Nope. No reason to.
GJOFJ3 · 61-69, M
I believe in an afterlife, however not when we die, but at a future mass resurrection
don't know about an afterlife, right now just enjoying the afterglow
Carla · 61-69, F
Afterlife was created to ease the idea of death, and to reward people for being good citizens.
But, ive never been dead, so....
Carla · 61-69, F
@CestManan first the comfort that heaven is possible, then the threat that if you aren't following gods laws, then it's hell. But still an afterlife.
Some peoe fear deeth so, that even petpetual hell is better than the idea of nothingness.
CestManan · 46-50, F
@Carla I think the reason that people imagine an afterlife is because it is next to Impossible for someone to imagine themself not existing in first person. Kind of like trying to remember things that happened before you were born, you just can't.
Carla · 61-69, F
@CestManan yep...

That's a good question. I honestly don't know. Doubt I ever will until I leave this world
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@TheLordOfHell Good answer.
samanthaX · 41-45, T
I believe that death is not the end.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@samanthaX Explain please.🙂
samanthaX · 41-45, T
@Zonuss I believe there is something after physical death, maybe another physical life or a spiritual life I don't know. I do believe that death is not the end.
samanthaX · 41-45, T
I do believe in an afterlife x
