Hi. Brittney Griner, former [b]WNBA[/b] star was released from prison in [b] Russia [/b] today. The exchange was an arms dealer who is considered to be one of the most dangerous people in the world. What are your thoughts on this. You gotta admit that being sentenced to [b]9[/b] years in prison for marijuana oil or vapes is a bit extreme for anybody. It's just ridiculous. Was Britt unaware that she was in another country? She broke the law, their law. Trading her America hating ass for a murdering thug was inappropriate.
The trade was obviously politically motivated. Putin knew I and thousands of other America loving citizens would outraged. And, dum ass Biden took the bait again.
I just hate that she might be have to endure our national anthem again. Poor girl. Can’t imagine talking all that shit about your country and then begging them to take ya back. Guess that groveling paid off though.

Sure, it's good that she was released. But hearing that Russia said that, basically, it was this or nothing, was not a good look for our nation. We caved, and likely this will be something world leaders won't forget.

I think it was extremely overboard she was sentenced as long as she had, however she knew the laws as shes been playing for a rusdian team the last 8 years when the wnba season wasnt hoing on and we're in a proxy war with Russia, so she's either stupid or entitled, and I doubt she's stupid.
Irony so thick you could cut it with an AR-15, right? Sure, Biden took a page from the Obama playbook (who exchanged traitor Bowe Bergdahl for 5 Taliban commanders). We all get that. But it gets better...Biden, who is trying to ban scary looking guns and says no one should own a semi-automatic firearm (even though he's surrounded by security armed to the teeth with similar weapons), releases a notorious arms dealer known as the "Merchant of Death” and then turns around to attend a "victims of gun violence" memorial. The truth is stranger than fiction.

@Zonuss I suspect they have been traumatized longer than that and that trauma is only now catching up to them. We must not coddle them, but we should pity them.
For her I’m glad she is out first and foremost. If she had bad feelings about the US perhaps they might change. She has 1st Amendment rights after all. I guess we have to take her word for it that packing the pot vapes was an accident. Not sure I buy that but how do I know. In terms of whether it was a good or bad deal again who really knows. Hopefully a deal will be made to get Whelan out and any other Americans imprisoned there.
A US citizen in my opinion has to have virtually commit premeditated murder for us to justify them being held for life in an unknown Russian hellhole. I wouldn’t even wish that on my ultra ultra lefty “friends” who blocked me on here because they fear reasoned dialogue. i'm glad she's finally free. i think the sweet leaf should be legalized worldwide so no more violent criminals get freed in exchange for peaceful law-breakers. it's a crazy world
