I've been walking a hell of a lot lately because I wanna start jogging

but like, I haven't jogged in so long so I didn't wanna start running & dying right off the bat 😅 so I was like alright lemme just walk fast for miles every day & [i]then[/i] I'll start running 😂

Idk but it does actually feel good. That's like that dopamine shit it releases then you just be chillin 🤷 nah but idk it really does help with a lot. Feels like I've been thinking a lot clearer. I've been feeling okay honestly

I think that taking walks is actually more healthy than jogging. 🤔
@Classified like mentally you mean? Because in the long run I wanna run for the cardio. I just wanna be in a bit better physical shape really

@ChiefWalksWith40oz I think it's more healthy physically, but if you want to be fit then jogging and cardio is better.
That's a way to start something. I love walking, it is for exercise but mostly for peace of mind and relaxation. My form of meditating, if I ever had one. Myself, I couldn't give that up to go on a run... but yes, if you are trying to give yourself a way to etch (motivate) yourself into running I imagine it's a damn good way.
@thewindupbirdchronicles yeah it does seem to feel pretty relaxing. Running would be a lot more tiring but I assume the kind of rewarding that i could use but who knows maybe I'd hate running 😂
@ChiefWalksWith40oz When I want that feeling I ride my bicycle... Buy good shoes if you are going to run!

I do the same. I walk two hours everyday
@Strawbsy i actually haven't really been timing myself 🤔 but that sounds like a lot. I walked 5 miles today though that's been my most so far

@ChiefWalksWith40oz well I have a dog so that’s why I walk two hours (an hour in the morning and an other hour in the evening)

Ι don't do any kind of exercise but I walk at least an hour every day, it's good for people who have no time or can't afford to do anything else, it really makes a difference.
I've been walking 15 mins a day. I used to walk 30 mins twice a week so thought it would be easy but it has been hard.
@Spoiledbrat it'll likely get easier over time. Make sure you have water too if course 👌

I like walking but it gets old if I walk the same route. I have to change it otherwise no dopamine for me.
@CrazyMusicLover makes sense. So far I like the route I've been taking & I see a lot of people too but I'll have to change it up if I get bored
I've heard the best way to start is intermittent walk/jog

I’ve been walking a mile every morning at sunrise. I really do feel more energetic and in a better mood. No running or jogging for me though. I have a knee that couldn’t handle that! I’m working my way up to 3 miles a day.
